Sooooooo lovely!

I listen to a LOT of audiobooks and it's been a while since I heard one that is so beautiful read and a story that is so sweet and well-written. It makes me want to curl up in a thick chair with a blanket while it rains outside and I sip a cup of tea.

keeping a level head in technological upheaval

The printing press, industrialization, and many past innovations have upended societies. Mass migrations, revolutions, and confusion is a cycle that has been repeated over and over. Thank you for keeping a level head and not giving up on facts! Thank you for being an inspiration to the rest of us, Ms. Ressa!

WOW! Amazing story!

before this book I just completed listening to another author's version of Stonehenge but I don't think he has much of an imagination for culture and what drives people's motives. I really appreciate Bernard Cornwell's ability to take the facts that are known and weave together strands that take shape in a powerful story like this. Other authors might be driven just by telling stories of battles and fighting but Mr Cornwell digs deep into the selfish and altruistic motives of individual characters that shape the conflict and thus drives historical shifts through the ages. Obviously this is a work of fiction, but is it true work of art! Also loved all the books about Uhtrid!

Annoying reading of female voices

I had to grit my teeth and numb myself to the way female voices were read. Made them all sound like nitwits. I've heard many other male narrators read the female voices in their normal voice and it's much, much better. Story is good, so I continue to the next book.

The Best!!!!

The entire series is so good! But the first and last really kicked my butt. Getting unstuck by following my passion opened a huge realization. Thank you Mel! I am now going to take my photography profession into my martial arts practice.

Wow! The best!

This is the best book I've listened to in a long time. Maybe it is just timing, but Gary changed the direction of my work over the 2 days it took to listen to this book. I came up with an idea, I did some quick check ins with my market, and I'm already working with a coder to bring the project to fruition. Definitely going to make it habit to listen to this again in a month or two. Thank you Gary!

Wasn't a fan of the content background music.

I found the background music to be very distracting. Hopefully future books won't incorporate this addition.
