Historia
In The Worst of You, just-wed architects Timo and Nia flee a murder scene, setting in motion a chain reaction of lies and betrayals that threaten to unravel everything they have built together. Twisted and propulsive, this thriller is told from the alternating perspectives of the couple and those close to them on Williwaw Island, each with their own motive to use the outcome of the murder case to their advantage. When a huge storm sweeps up the coast, trapping everyone on tiny Williwaw Island, it’s a race against time—and the elements — to stop the murderer from striking again.

Historia
Dannie Kohan lives her life by the numbers. She is nothing like her lifelong best friend - the wild, whimsical, believes-in-fate Bella. Her meticulous planning seems to have paid off after she nails the most important job interview of her career and accepts her boyfriend’s marriage proposal in one fell swoop, falling asleep completely content. But when she awakens, she’s suddenly in a different apartment, with a different ring on her finger, and beside a very different man.

The beautifully writing. The author paints vivid pictures of situations and emotions with her words.

Details of Bella dying were very depressing. Then leaving relationship with Aaron unresolved at the end was anticlimatic, counterintuitive and disappointing. If Dannys dream was an omen, why not delve more into the mysticism of how she & Aaron were ultimately meant to be together, and how Bella, as the catalyst of that union, would ultimately need to be eliminated in order to fulfill Danny’s and Aaron’s intended destiny?

Interesting, thought-provoking story which analyzes problematic behavioral and relationship issues as parents and their teenage daughters juggle personal aspirations with morality, coming of age, and societal pressures in an increasingly tech-based world. Within this framework, story also explores the concept of nature vs nurture in the development of psychopathology and personal recognition of potentially deviant behavior. Very well done complex psychological thriller. Definitely recommend. Hope for a sequel.

This book is special. Extremely well written, immersive. Reader becomes part of these lives. Very likable/relatable heroine with just enough undercurrent of the supernatural to keep it edgy. Def keeps you turning pages. I’m on my second listen, this time reading along with text. Highly recommend!

Everything is perfect! Story is intricately woven and makes u feel as though u know the characters and are invested in the outcome. The heroine is inspiring. Narration is beyond excellent; can’t emphasize enough how important the narrator is - her vocal tone, inflections, accents and pacing all serve to immerse you into the story and make u need to keep listening. Which I will definitely will. Thank you for this wonderful series!

Historia
When Edward Cullen and Bella Swan met in Twilight, an iconic love story was born. But until now, fans have heard only Bella's side of the story. At last, listeners can experience Edward's version in the long-awaited companion novel, Midnight Sun. This unforgettable tale as told through Edward's eyes takes on a new and decidedly dark twist. Meeting Bella is both the most unnerving and intriguing event he has experienced in all his years as a vampire.

As a huge fan of the Twilight Saga I loved the story, but narrator spoiled the audio-experience. His voice is obviously not that of a teenager, somewhat strident, and definitely did not exemplify the supposedly musical-sounding, soothing vocal intonation of a 17 yr old vampire in Stephenie Meyer’s Twilight World. For these reasons, audiobook was very disappointing; couldn’t finish it.

Historia
How do you explain Liz Phair? Looking at her career, the word fearless seems the right place to start. In Never Said Nothing, the latest in Audible’s Words + Music series, Phair charts her unlikely journey from making her first record - one that’s now ensconced on Rolling Stone’s “500 Greatest Albums of All Time” - to a trial by fire (she’d never set foot on stage before its release), to even more improbably, a second and a third, maybe fourth act, depending on how one counts these things.

She attempts overshadow and whitewash the vulgarity that has obviously permeated her music and lifestyle. Bottom line: without physical beauty, none of her success would have been possible.
