Historia
Viktor E. Frankl was a medical doctor at a psychiatric hospital in 1942 when he became a prisoner in Nazi concentration camps in World War II. In 1946, he published this book about his camp experiences and a method of psychotherapy he developed. Forty-five years later, it was still named one of the most influential books in the United States. Part One describes his three years in four Nazi concentration camps, which took the lives of his wife, father, mother, and brother. He closely observed inmates’ reactions to their situation, as well as how survivors came to terms with their liberation.

Inspiring but still a little unsure how to apply
Revisado: 06-02-24
Inspiring book. I've read it twice now. Perhaps I am just a little dense, but I am still a little blurry on how I can apply a life's purpose to help getting through a tough time. It seemed a little too high level. I'd like to see a little more application practices-- such as writing exercises or questions to ask one self in order to help focus in the right direction.

Historia
Mesopotamia is the ancient name for the region that is now Iraq, a remarkably advanced civilization that flourished for two-thirds of the time that civilization has existed on Earth. Mesopotamians mastered irrigation agriculture; built the first complex urban societies; developed writing, literature, and law; and united vast regions through warfare and diplomacy. While civilizations like Greece and Rome have an unbroken tradition of written histories, the rich history of Mesopotamia has only been recently rediscovered, thanks to the decipherment of Mesopotamia's cuneiform writing less than 200 years ago.

Potentially Life Changing
Revisado: 10-23-20
I've been seeking ways to deal with negativity, finding purpose, and to become more centered. This book scratched a lot of itches for me. Not for everyone, I think. I believe this book will resonate more if you are on the path of being better and wanting to know about yourself and your place in the world.

Maybe?
Revisado: 03-30-20
The strategy outlined in this book to create attraction with women is often counterintuitive or the opposite of what we have been taught. Is it right? I dont know. In many ways I'm more confused than ever. Perhaps I need to listen to it again...

Great Book for women AND men.
Revisado: 06-03-19
This is a book that made me think. I'm not certain the author's assumption is correct- that people are meant to be in long term partnerships and most men simply aren't ready. I think this book might be reinforcing the wrong idea to women (i.e that the long term commited relationship is the correct path). Then again, I could be wrong.
If the author is right, could it be that most men are not ready for a long term relationship, and by the time they are, the woman's biological clock has 'run out'? Or perhaps women need to seek out older, more mature men who ARE ready?
Makes one think...
