I struggled to listen to this. I listen to the 20-hour left mark. Then, after they defeated a monster and they had to go that way because it was the only way, though.... they freshened up at a resort that witches vacation at..... I stopped. Just can't go on any more. It's just horrible the way these books are planned out.

Jack I getting better at the Issac saga. Definitely better than the Titanic. I gave it another shot.
He did have some big shoes to fill with Justin Scott departure.
He did add a prequel to it. He brought back "On the Jump".
All things that made an Issac Bell novel a Bell Novel.

Good story but just predictable.

It was a good story but just predictable. I'm just used to twist and turns with Allen Eskens. Brian was good but again I was used to RC Bray being the narrator and as Max voice. Also this is more third person where as The Life We Bury an The Deep Dark Descending are more first person and you get emotional attached with the character of first person.

Just is not the same since Justin Scott left.

What happen to starting in the future then going back to the past then ending in the future again. For instance The Chase,
Justin Scott did his homework and it showed in his books. He great at what he does, Who did it novels. I was always trying to guess who was it and who did it. The first 3 chapters I already figured out who was the bad guy. So then it became a straight action book, which the Oregon Files were and you knew who did it in those books also right away,
Jack, is not a great fit for Isaac Bell Novels.
The ending didn't go well with me either.... again it should go back to present, or future time, for Bell. ie the first couple of books in the series.
The first books in the series are the ones that got me hooked, These are books that got my mind thinking. The history and attention to detail of subject. like the Cutthroat, kept me invested in this series.
I think I am going to stop my purchases of The Isaac Bell Novels. Unless Justin Scott wants to come back, This is not the same novels that Justin was a part of.

But now, he’s trying to get out...Growing up, my father always told me that I’d come to a bad end, just like my mom did when I was a kid. Hearing that kind of shit when you’re little eventually gets to a girl, but I can’t say I ever expected my "bad end" to involve an angry vampire with a severe case of iron deficiency and a panty-melting English accent.

I thought the threat from Seattle was finished. That we showed up in time and took care of business. I hate being wrong. It really ruins my day. I listen to the other books and were hard to listen to but gave it a benefit of the doubt but am seriously disappointed on the ending.
The voice for Darius is awful.
