It’s amazing but so little happens

If you thought Brin not unlocking his class till the last bit of the last book was slow, maybe skip this one.

That being said I only just realized how little has actually happened, 21 chapters in. The story is so good and pulls you in so much, you almost forget how little the main plot actually progresses.
Not for everyone but I would recommend

The first book was amazing but my god these characters are infuriating. Mom/Dad refuses to adapt to their new world. Everyone is keeping secrets from each other for no logical reason. Mark, my god, Mark. How do you make the character possessed by eldritch magic the least compelling, least likable character? I like the Druid daughter but she’s just there.

I would love a book that mostly follows Grandpa Jack and the Turkey. Yes the turkey is the 2nd best character in this book.
Couple hours left, let’s hope it gets better

Great story. Amazing narration. Interesting twist on the superhero genre. Just 1 complaint, too much math. We’re all used to too much stats and such in litrpgs but to go the extra mile and show us how everything is calculated is unnecessary.

Entertaining, funny and just straight up good. He’s great at making it out of problems but he almost always is the reason for the problem.

Amazing and that’s the problem

This was amazing. Definitely better paced than the first. But then it just ends. The story gets to what’s supposed to be the climax, then nothing, no conclusion. It feels like 3/4 of a book. Still though; amazing follow up, narrators were amazing as always.

Pretty good but what happened to Eve

I loved the first book but I have 1 major issue with this installment.
What happened to Eve? She has her head so far up her own ass it’s painful to watch. Constantly looking down on people with lower levels or lower rarity classes. Feeling disgusted looking at a courier that’s older than her. She acts like everyone was given a legendary quest and decently strong fire mage from day 1. Constantly making decisions that’ll get people around her killed just because of EXP. I don’t mind a battle junkie but her disregard for anything else grates at me. Almost as though she forgot that her decisions already got 1 friend killed. And that’s another thing, not once has she reflected on the fact that she pushed Alex into that situation.

I have 2 hours left. Without any growth I don’t think I’ll be able to put up with 2 more books of her.
Every other character though, pretty well written.

8 hours in, the story is fairly unique, characters are interesting. But my god the MC’s constant whining about how his brothers are so special and he (who refuses to actually put himself out there and try) gets nothing. I’m assuming he’ll grow out of it as the loop continues but it’s still a bit much.

P.S. it got much better. MC finally has time to self reflect

God I hate Selena but it’s a good continuation

The story definitely went a different direction from the first. But I loved it.

However, Selena is even more of a pain. Still snaps at everyone, blames everyone for her actions and acts in ways that puts the dungeon worse situations. Genuinely would not be surprised if he went full on dark lord because of her

Decent with to much repetition

It’s a fairly unique cultivation story. But my god we know he’s poor and life isn’t fair. You really do not have to keep reminding us. I don’t think any 5 minutes of the first half of the book went by without the book reminding us that his progression would be better if he had a better life.
