Over all very pleasant. But having a not yet 3 year old speak in full logical sentences just really distracts me.
A few story lines could have been explored more.

But it's a nice mild spicy story and I love Charlotte and Sophie's friendship.

oh where to begin. sorry in advance with my caps off and I'm too exhausted to fix it.

today was my 2nd attempt at this novel/audio book.

I've only made it to Ch. 11 and I can't go on.
in my effort to be fair either dialogue is painfully awkward,stilted and made cringe by the author or reader. ot both.

It sounds like a 9th grader speaking. The characters are maybe 2 dimensional, definitely not 3.
The story, this far, is stupid, so stupid. Annabelle wants to solve this murder mystery, but takes a table cloth off of an unsecured table AND COVERS THE BODY!!Contaminating evidence anyone? Yet we are to believe she's smart and will solve a crime. UNBELIEVABLE. Ale covers the body then after a few minuets, thinks, gee I guess we can call * emergency services* ( not, 911) So stupid.
If I feel like I need to punish myself,I'll try to listen to this again.

Oh, found my caps. I'm more irrated than tired.

I want to slap every charachter

ugh. Supposedly when the 2 first meet Dax ( dumb name) liked Eliza's wit. But the brief conversing in the first encounter was not at all witty.
The story could be good, I like that Eliza is not "gorgeous" but the dialog is not believable and lacks chemistry.
The narrator made interesting b choices. Why did Sebastian sing like an 80 yr old man???

So many holes. I loathe the commentary that characters just * know* what the other person is thinking and are ALWAYS wrong. While this is a common annoying trope in romances, it is signify
significantly less successful in this novel.
This is my first book my Miss Clever and I'm underwhelmed because I paid for this. if it was free from the library, I would not have finished it.

WOW .. a great story

I am blown away by the reader ... and this story is great. A good story always makes me want to learn more about the story /details etc.. Now I am in a BP /enigma/ww2 rabbit hole .. Saskia is my new favorite narrator!!!!

The REALLY BAD American accent almost ruined this for me. But the story was good. The acting narration was weak at times.
