This book is about the journey of being a dog owner and rescue person. I own 4 dogs myself and dog sit for another. 4 out of 5 are also Boston's. I could really relate to the Author. What I liked about this book is that the stories are true and heartfelt. They made me laugh and cry. What I really liked is how the book shows how important it is to be a responsible pet owner and how much our pets need us. I recomend this book for all dog lovers but especially for someone considering getting their first dog.

After listening to this audio book I went into sam's club to purchase a copy to send to my best friend out in California. While getting the book I noticed a black woman sitting in a wheelchair looking at some books and I went over to her and asked her if she has read this book?, she saw the book and said YES!, both of us instantly connected and talked about it like best friends. i am white and have always found it awkward talking with black women because of the cultural differences. Thank you Miss Stockett for writing this book. This book is going to bring women together, black and white. i reccomend it to all women!
