Narration ruined already bad story!

I tried and tried to finish this book and it was a painful listen!! Publishers must have paid big bucks to cram this one down our throats by getting it on every best seller list. The story is so cliche and borderline (ah hell not borderline it's racist!). Complete with middle eastern bad guys and horrible plot. Dennis Quaid should never, ever, ever narrate another book. He was beyond aweful and obviously couldn't grasp the concept of changing his voice for female characters. I would give this book zero stars if I could. Returned!!

Great book on songwriting. A kindred spirit!

Narration was perfection. Story was engaging and so real. I'm sure we've known each other in another life. So many parallels to my own journey as a singer, song writer signed to Island and Warner Bros. in the 90's. Now finding my own career in "the gap." Thank you for helping me give myself permission not to have all the answers. Thank you also for validating so many of my thoughts on the craft of songwriting.
