Lack of research
Revisado: 04-03-25
Hard to follow, poor descriptions, book rambles after first chapters, poor character development, good book to sleep through.

Historia
From Martin Clark - praised by Entertainment Weekly as "our best legal-thriller writer" - comes a wickedly clever, tenderhearted, and intricately plotted novel about a hard-luck lawyer's refusal to concede defeat, even as fate, the court system, and a gang of untouchable con artists conspire against him.

The astute complexity of the plot and the professionalism of the reader.
Revisado: 12-25-23
This story was beyond the complex plot I have ever witnessed. The ending gave a vindication for a legal system that is seriously flawed.

Historia
They say that only truck drivers experience the true grandeur and landscape of America. In A Trucker's Tale, Ed Miller gives an inside look at the allure of the work and the colorful characters who haul our goods on the open road. He shares what it was like to grow up in a trucking family, his experience as an equipment officer in Vietnam, and the trials and tribulations of life as a trucker. His tales are often funny, sometimes sad, cringeworthy, or unbelievable. Many are the results of what he calls "just plain stupidity."

A really great book
Revisado: 05-30-23
both Ed Miller, and the narrator on the story, did an excellent job of discussing years of trucking that few people remember and re-create many memories of the past. This is one of the best books I have read recently, and I enjoyed every minute of it.

Historia
Half a century ago, an aberration was spotted by one of our earliest satellites, and summarily dismissed as a hardware malfunction. But it was no aberration. And no malfunction. It was an accidental glimpse of something extraordinary, and very old. Mocked for decades, the man who designed the satellite is now dead. With the system's original data firmly in the hands of former NTSB investigator Joe Rickards and anthropologist Angela Reed.

Hmm
Revisado: 01-28-23
Why did the story end where it should have began??
Perhaps blending reality into the characters and locations. The story was unrealistic and fictional—and then it wasn’t.
Glad I stayed till the end!

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.

Content, --supurb. Narration, exceptional!
Revisado: 02-23-16
Why did I slowly get sucked into this children's story by a young Australian author? Why did my my gutwrenched emotions get played to sit patiently, chapter after chapter, listening to a powerfully subtle message conveyed by a young girl and her pacifist accordian playing father?
Simply, because the author is a genius! He read my mind and inserted a story, pictures and everlasting images!
