Historia
At the verge of turning 40, Peter Sagal - brainiac Harvard grad, short, bald Jew with a disposition toward heft, and a sedentary star of public radio - started running seriously. And much to his own surprise, he kept going, faster and further, running 14 marathons and logging tens of thousands of miles on roads, sidewalks, paths, and trails all over the US and the world, including the 2013 Boston Marathon, where he crossed the finish line moments before the bombings.

He called me stupid for believing in creation.
Revisado: 11-25-23
This audio book was OK until he called me stupid for believing in creation. I thought this was a completely unnecessary comment in a book about running. Didn't finish. Have returned this book.

Historia
Every man is born with just one thing: his sovereignty - his power to respond to his environment and his circumstances. Unfortunately, most men have spent much of their lives giving away that sovereignty. Every time a man passes blame or shirks his responsibility, every time he makes excuses for his performance, and every time he trades his unlimited potential for a little perceived safety and security, he willingly submits himself to the mercy of others.

Respectable.
Revisado: 09-09-21
Solid practical information that is fairly well explained. The author spends the time to try and convince you about why these things are important.
I liked that its a book about manhood for men and how to create the life you want, all without spending any time on "getting da girls".
I found the tone and pace if the book a bit overbearing at times but I figured that is possibly the character of the author and you wouldnt get a good book like this if that wasnt the case.

If I had to pick one book to recommend to my friends and family this would be it.
Since starting my own low carb and exercise lifestyle 2 years ago, then learning from all different sources, I was especially impressed by this book because of how it covers all of the different aspects of my new lifestyle in an encouraging, stress free and enjoyable way.
Mark has proficiently pulled together all the important aspects of a truly healthy lifestyle and provided tools and reasons to implement them into your life.
Im not sure how I would have reacted to this book had I read it at the beginning of my journey, but listening to it now was really encouraging and reassuring.
I highly reccommend.

Well written and entertaining

I really enjoyed the layout of this book especially with the story of Manly twisted throughout.
The comedy kept me entertained and often laughing out loud which is hard case considering the topic which has a very serious side to it, even if they say they do it for fun!
I look forward to other books from Cory.

Historia
What is masculinity? Ask ten men and you'll get ten vague, conflicting answers. Unlike any book of its kind, The Way of Men offers a simple, straightforward answer - without getting bogged down in religion, morality, or politics. It's a guide for understanding who men have been and the challenges men face today. The Way of Men captures the silent, stifling rage of men everywhere who find themselves at odds with the overregulated, overcivilized, politically correct modern world.

I kept hearing about this book so had to listen to it. I wasnt dissapointed. The principles rang so true to me as a man that I had to listen to it twice.
This book helped me understand why I feel great when I do man stuff, and feel crappy when I let people down.
Solid book. Thanks Jack

Solid information for your best life.
Revisado: 10-12-20
What I loved about this book is how you dont hear the usual BS about making millions of dollars. On the contrary, he advises not to keep up with the Jonses and focus on what makes you happy.
This book is the most solidly compact information i have ever come across in a self help book and the fact that its written specifically for men makes it refreshing.
Calebs book gets straight to the point and points out the most common mistakes the average man makes, then he gives tips and advice on how to fix and improve them.
My perception of reality has changed and will never be the same, thanks.

Including stories from paradise and hard-won lessons in seamanship, Taleisin's Tales reflects back to the first miles Lin and Larry Pardey gained together on the second boat they built lovingly with teak carvel planking over sawn black locust frames. The book includes details from outfitting, provisioning, and final detailing during the early months Lin and Larry spent getting to know their new bluewater cruiser, as well as moments of melancholy as they let go of attachments to their first trusty boat.

A nice mix of adventure and information.
Revisado: 05-22-18
Being a repeat listener of Cruising in Serrafyn i found this book a lot more informative rather than just a narrative about their sailing adventure south.
For example Lin often explains their thought process for decisions they made during the voyage which makes you feel more like a part of the crew than just a listener.
In my opinion the narration was sub par, but i dont think it took too much away from the book. Bring back Kitty Hendrix!
I really enjoyed this book and of course highly reccommend it.

YouTube connected me with a way of living that is awesome. How can you do it? Listen to this book to find out! Making videos on YouTube, Facebook, Twitch, and my website is what I do now full time. This book explains each part of the system I use that you can duplicate! I am honored and very lucky that I can start every day off making videos. That's my full time job now and that's what I do. I have my own company and I work for myself. I make videos every day to put on my online courses.

Speed up the audio to 110%
Revisado: 06-27-17
Not great, but not too bad either.
As in the other comments it's fairly repetitive and the information probably could have been put across effectively in half the time.
I sped up the audio to 110% after about the first 5 mins, can't imagine listening to it in normal speed.
However there are some interesting concepts and information throughout the book that makes it worth the money spent.
Thanks for just "getting this out there" in your own authentic way Jerry, appreciated.
