Engaging combination of true crime & futurist
Revisado: 03-22-22
The trolls almost scared me away with the bad reviews, but after listening to OUT OF THE ETHER is became clear that this was a heated issue, like religion and politics combined.
I loved the STORY telling in the book. The background, the people, the crime. Instead of being geeky and unapproachable, the author made it into a compelling story. It's the kind of story you would have read in the New Yorker. A first-hand understanding that is fair enough removed in time that teh larger lessons and implications can be seen.
Highly recommend this work for anyone interested in crypto, where the world is going, or just an engaging story. Hope they make it into a movie.

In one of the most popular classes at Parsons School of Design, B. Jeffrey Madoff gave students a reality check: "Most of us have had the feeling of 'I could've done that,' whether at an art gallery, watching a performance, or finding a new product or even a new business idea. What's the difference between you and them? They actually did it. You didn't." With Creative Careers, you will learn how to do it, too: use your creativity; have a sustainable, profitable career; and do what you love.

Every chapter could be a stand alone book
Revisado: 01-06-21
This is one of the select books I’ve listened to on Audible and purchases the physical book so I could highlight, study, and implement!
Each chapter could be a stand alone book.
I’ve gifted copies to my college age kids as well as some corporate friends wondering what’s next
Can’t wait to listen to the authors new podcast for more stories and insights. What’s ordinary to Jeffrey Madoff is amazing to the rest of the world!

An inspiring and actionable listen
Revisado: 12-05-17
If you could sum up Divine Time Management in three words, what would they be?
Rest in God
Who was your favorite character and why?
My favorite character had to be the author, Elizabeth Grace Saunders. I could relate to her struggles as even an expert battled with time management when they tried to do it all on their own. she gave me permission not to be perfect, but to keep trying, moving forward in faith.
What did you learn from Divine Time Management that you would use in your daily life?
"Be still and know that I am God" Being a type A overachiever I tend to want to do it all...yesterday. When she quoted Psalms, it really resonated and I hit rewind 30 a few times.
Any additional comments?
This is a great book that is enjoyable to listen to and apply. Even if you only implement a few of lessons, your life will be more peaceful, meaningful, and you'll appreciate the Divine Time you are blessed with.

An engaging story that will impact your business
Revisado: 12-03-17
What did you love best about Take Your Shot?
Take Your Shot, reminded me of one of my favorite business books E-Myth. It's packed with timeless business principles presented in such a way that is is memorable and actionable. There is so much in this 2-hour story.
What did you like best about this story?
The fact that it is a story. Most business books are hard to listen to and capture everything. Take Your Shot I believe is better on Audible, especially when read by the author Robin Waite who has a great narration.
What does Robin Waite bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
The authors calm British accent was a pleasure to listen to. His personal recap at the end really allowed me to understand his heart and the next steps.
Any additional comments?
I listen to about a business book a week. I most highly recommend TAKE YOUR SHOT by Robin Waite.

Don't Procrastinate Reading This
Revisado: 06-27-16
What made the experience of listening to Procrastinate on Purpose the most enjoyable?
Rory is such a dynamic speaker that when he speaks the words are so much more powerful and impactful. It was so enjoyable that I slowed it down from my usual 1.5x to normal speed so that I could enjoy it.
What did you like best about this story?
Rory doesn't preach from the ivory tower. He gives real life struggles and lessons he has learned. His actionable tips make this book something you can implement. I printed and framed the FOCUS FUNNEL diagram he offers on his website in the extra resources

I've seen Rory speak live. The book brings back vivid memories of this award winning presenter.

Based on real experiences that David Novak had as the Chairman and CEO of Yum! Brands, this parable will empower listeners to recognize the contributions of those around them in order to drive bigger and better results. It's not hard, it's not expensive, and you don't need an MBA or even a position of authority to do it. It's a deceptively simple principle that can have a huge impact on both your life and your business.

Revisado: 06-27-16
Where does O Great One! rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This was such a fun and engaging story that I reduced the speed from my normal 1.5 to 1x just so I could enjoy it instead of just get through it.
What did you like best about this story?
This timeless story impacts my entire life. My business, my family and all of my relationships. The one thing all people crave is true appreciation. It's a valuable gift because it's something they can't give themselves
Which scene was your favorite?
The image of the OGO Jar is a great idea. I went to his site to buy a few immediately after finishing the book.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
Who in my life has no idea of what they mean to me in my business, life, family, spiritual walk etc. Are they "getting ready to retire" without knowing. Have I lost the opportunity to bless them with a few words of appreciation that would cost me little but would be priceless to them.
Any additional comments?
This book will be a classic.

Where does Surge rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
Mike Michalowicz is one of the most entertaining authors to read his book. His passion and personality really come through. There is so much extra content and stories that I always listen to his books first, then I get the book to highlight, put in notes and actions I will take.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Surge?
The visions of surfing. Too often I view the idea of business as paddling harder instead of finding where business is going and join int.
What does Mike Michalowicz bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Mike's passion and humor really come through.
Was this a book you wanted to listen to all in one sitting?
I listen at 1.5x so I was able to get it done in one glorious day
Any additional comments?
Mike has a wisdom that come through. After reading one book, you will want to read all of Mike's books.

While everyone is talking about "big data", the truth is that understanding the "little data" - the stats that underlie newspaper headlines, stock reports, weather forecasts, and so on - is what helps you make smarter decisions at work, at home, and in every aspect of your life. The average person consumes approximately 30 gigabytes of data every single day but has no idea how to interpret it correctly. Everydata explains, through the eyes of an expert economist and statistician, how to decipher the small bytes of data we consume in a day.

The authors gave real world and fun examples that make you think: Why is it true that is a southern Florida county most people are born Hispanic but die Jewish?
