Historia
Kaz Wolfe has everything he needs to prevent a Convergence that would allow gods and monsters from the Nether to invade our world. Everything, other than a single clue about what a Convergence is. Or how it works. Or how to stop it. To get answers, he might have to take a fun-filled family road trip to the last place he wants to go: the Netherworld.

A Cliffhanger? Really?!?
Revisado: 09-10-24
Who do you think you are, a TV show? There better be another book coming along...and soon. BTW, this would make a great TV series (you already have the dead-end cliffhanger).
The storyline is great. The characters are amazing, nay, adorable. I want a dog like Duke. What a surprising twist with Duke/Marmaduke. I would also like to adopt Mr. Boots. Let me know if he becomes available for adoption. The narrator (the wonderful Mr. Bray) is marvelous. I take great pains to listen to his narrations. Some people are very "stiff" in their readings but R.C. Bray is quite colorful and imaginative.
I would like to know what happens to the time travelers (yes, I said travelers bc you ARE going to find a way to bring "you-know-who" back from the nether.

Historia
As management reels from the unexpected conclusion of the seventh level, the surviving crawlers stumble onto the eighth and find themselves scattered. It’s a map based on Earth’s final days before the collapse, where ethereal, intangible ghosts of humanity go about their lives, oblivious of the impending doom. Living amongst these ghosts are monsters based in Earth lore. “Legendary” creatures tied to the geographical location they inhabit. Each team of crawlers is given a task: Find and capture six of these beasts.

Why did it have to end?
Revisado: 03-22-24
Is this the end?!? I don't feel satisfied. I feel that there should be more!! I love everything about these books (ESPECIALLY PRINCESS DONUT). The narration is excellent. Jeff Hayes does an excellent job in swapping up the characters. Matt Dinniman has a very active imagination. Weaving real life into these fantastical characters makes for a more fun listening experience. Where DOES he get the naming ideas for some of the characters/places/etc.? Very clever.

A pantheon of forgotten gods. An old grudge between a talk show host, an heiress, and the man they shattered along the way. A rapidly deteriorating AI system. An inconvenient tiara upon the head of a friend.

Revisado: 04-26-23
First off, as always, a great listening due to Mr. RC Bray. Love his voice, he brings the story to life. I wish someone would make a movie (a series of movies?!?). My imagination goes wild thinking about these characters. What they would look like. Who would play them in a movie.
As for this book (and this series) I am sorry to see it end. The ending of this book was surprising and a bit shocking. There are gods and monsters. There are little girls and old ladies. There are voluptuous women and a skirt-wearing former military hero suffering from PTS. It's hard to say anything without giving away the whole story but...we are living in a simulation.

Historia
For years, the ancient alien AI known as Skippy (the Magnificent, don’t forget that part) has been able to do one impossible thing after another. What is his secret? It’s simple: 100 percent Grade-A extreme awesomeness. And also because he had never been faced with an opponent of equal power. Until now. This time, he might need a little help from a band of filthy monkeys.

I have been listening to these books for a long time now. just when I think they can't get in any more trouble, they do. I had fears for Skippy at one point but they were put to rest quickly. I look forward to the next book as I'm sure it will be as enjoyable as this and all the rest.

Very entertaining
Revisado: 11-12-22
I am jealous! I want to be a part of this story.
Looking for another Dennis E Taylor book bc I know I'll be entertained. The story may not be believable but that's why it's called sci-fi. A kid "finding " a spaceship?!? How fun! Not to mention a sassy AI to brighten the storyline.
Let's not forget Ray Porter. I could listen to him reading a cereal box.

Historia
Charlie Reade looks like a regular high school kid, great at baseball and football, a decent student. But he carries a heavy load. His mom was killed in a horrific accident when he was seven, and grief drove his dad to drink. Charlie learned how to take care of himself—and his dad. When Charlie is seventeen, he meets a dog named Radar and her aging master, Howard Bowditch, a recluse in a big house at the top of a big hill, with a locked shed in the backyard. Sometimes strange sounds emerge from that shed.

Wait...What...This is Stephen King?
Revisado: 11-01-22
Not your typical Stephen King novel. No gore (well, a little bit), no monsters (well, maybe a little bit), but definitely not your scare-the-pants-off-you Stephen King. There were parts when I grew concerned about the characters, afraid for them, but (will I spoil the ending?) all's well. I wish there was a sequel on the horizon (the story def lends itself to one) but regardless, it ended very nicely.
Seth Numrich was fantastic (the grunts were almost understandable) and apparently Stephen King narrated some but I don't know who he voiced. Narration was excellent all around.

Historia
Sick of the stress, aggravation, and multiple genocides they've had to put up with lately, accidental space hero Cal Carver and his crew set off to start a new life in a distant corner of the galaxy. Six tedious days of warp-speed and board games later, they arrive in a sector filled with new hope, new opportunities, and new adventures. Too broke to take advantage of any of these things, they are forced to accept a series of increasingly demeaning jobs just to make ends meet.

Hutchison & Thron rule.
Revisado: 06-14-22
I will read anything Barry Hutchison writes and will listen to anything Phil Thron narrates. Throw in a green blob, a cyborg, a blue chick, a werewoman, a snarky AI, and an inept(?) human male captain (all with their own 'tudes) and I will tune in to find out what mess they've gotten into. I think this may be the last book but I hope not.
