excellent story
Revisado: 09-29-20
the story is an excellent follow-up to the first, but the narrator needs a large diaphragm microphone and a sound isolated studio so he can lower the gain and actually scream into it. Otherwise, an excellent reading.

Historia
"There’s nothing there." The words may as well have been a death sentence to young Declan. Without mana, there could be no studying at the sky-piercing Pinnacle Towers, there could be no great monster hunts, and there could be no following in his father’s legendary footsteps. He’d be a cripple. But when a terrible accident forces him to flee, Declan learns the true nature of his mana. Just because it doesn’t resonate at any known frequency doesn’t mean it isn’t magic. Just because he can’t cast the same spells as everyone else doesn’t mean he isn’t a mage.

Another author who follows after Mercedes Lackey
Revisado: 09-26-20
I really want to like this series. it's a coming of age story for a truly unique magician I'm this world, but the hard magic system that the author so painstakingly crafted is really dampened by the fact that they seem to be following the Mercedes Lackey approach toward their LGBT protagonists by giving them shockingly tragic story arcs that force me to put the book down because I can't stand the depressing state of their characters treatment anymore. the first book touches on it to an extent, but the rabbit hole of sadness just grows ever deeper during the second and third book to the extent that I will not be finishing the series. You have been warned.

easily one of the most entertaining books
Revisado: 05-20-20
this book was thoroughly entertaining from beginning to end. Dakota Krout really hit his comedic stride in this one and you'll be laughing quite often throughout the performance. of course, Vikas Adam always makes for a wonderful listen.

Historia
The world watches the sky with trepidation. The insanity of Xenocide knew no bounds, and all will soon suffer the effects he had planned for a millennium. Though none know what is to come, they all know it isn't going to be easy to survive. The Master has a plan, one that can give the world at large a way to escape the onrushing desolation. It may be on the bleeding edge of morality and what he needs might prove too difficult to secure, but the Master asks for trust. Cal and Dale both have their role to play as the world hurtles toward destruction.

Couldn't even finish the second chapter
Revisado: 05-15-20
While the story may have been as entertaining as the ones before it, it is the suicide of a series to suddenly change voice actors after the listeners have become accustomed to one. I cannot recommend this book as an audiobook unless it is re-released with the original narrator.

what an entertaining LitRPG
Revisado: 09-26-19
this book is definitely NSFW, but damn if it isn't fun to listen to. the premise of the story is pretty unique among the LitRPG that I've seen and leads to some excellent character development from our protagonist. I can't recommend this series enough if you're okay with graphic sex scenes and violence.
