Historia
The Galahad, a faster-than-light spacecraft, carries 50 scientists and engineers on a mission to prepare Kepler 452b, Earth's nearest habitable neighbor at 1400 light years away. With Earth no longer habitable and the Mars colony slowly failing, they are humanity's best hope. After 10 years in a failed cryogenic bed - body asleep, mind awake - William Chanokh's torture comes to an end as the fog clears, the hatch opens, and his friend and fellow hacker, Tom, greets him...by stabbing a screwdriver into his heart. This is the first time William dies.

Simply fabulous!
Revisado: 01-17-24
I haven’t written a review in years. Nothing inspired me enough to do so.
It doesn’t matter what genre you prefer, you will love this audiobook. Likely the best I’ve heard in the last 3 years; out of hundreds of books listened to!
Yes, it really is that good.
Simply brilliant.

Historia
When COVID-19 sweeps through New York City, Jamie Gray is stuck as a dead-end driver for food-delivery apps. That is, until Jamie makes a delivery to an old acquaintance, Tom, who works at what he calls “an animal rights organization”. Tom’s team needs a last-minute grunt to handle things on their next field visit. Jamie, eager to do anything, immediately signs on. What Tom doesn't tell Jamie is that the animals his team cares for are not here on Earth. Not our Earth, at at least. In an alternate dimension, dinosaur-like creatures named Kaiju roam a warm and human-free world.

Full of banal liberal rhetoric
Revisado: 12-19-22
This might have been a good book- but it was utterly ruined by the author's liberal rhetoric. From masking and vaccines to using weird alt pronouns and president bashing followed by a preachy monologue of anti-gun blather- it never ended. The author has obviously fallen off the same deep end as Stephen King - where bashing readers over the head with their political beliefs become more important than good writing and entertainment.
I'm so tired of hearing about all of this type of thing- I read to escape the noise. When my entertainment is saturated with what I'm trying to escape, it is inexcusable. I've lost all respect for this author; his books will follow those I owned of Stephen King's....right into the refuse bin.

Historia
Prosperity and progress fill the days of the orphaned survivors and their animal companions. The fierce winter and the battle with Gordon and his gang are fading memories - until new friends emerge and old enemies resurface to shatter their fragile existence. They thought they were doing good. They thought the hard part was over. They thought they were the only survivors left in a zombie-ravaged world. They were wrong.

Historia
The bears were hungry and the panther was pacing her cage. It was supposed to be a fun field trip to the wild animal safari. It became a nightmare of blood. The zombie virus spread like wildfire and by noon, they were alone. Safe inside the fences, a group of school kids are the only survivors. Like the animals, they’ve lived their whole lives being cared for and fed, pampered, and loved. Now, they have to learn from each other how to survive, how to hunt, and how to kill.

Holy sh!t - that was a good book.
Revisado: 10-10-20
I usually avoid stories with a heavy animal theme because I am too affected if the animals die. Now, I’m not going to say no animals were harmed in the reading of this book, but it was not gratuitous nor too heartbreaking to continue on.
I loved Simpson’s zombie road series and adored the first installment of this as well.
Simpson poops literary gold and I am happy to scoop it up and jam it in my ears.
Seriously read this book. You’re welcome.

It also includes the bonus Hell for the Holidays, a 24/7 Demon Mart Christmas special. Lloyd Wallace is the most clueless crossing guard the intersection of hell and earth has ever seen. So clueless, that he doesn't even realize the beer cave in the corner store where he works is the gateway to hell.

Omg- that was so much FUN!!!
Revisado: 08-26-20
I almost never buy books with few or no reviews. This book, however, had all the elements that I usually love such as a tongue in cheek view of hell and monsters. The stories were funny, entertaining, full of action and I don’t have one negative thing to say about it. In fact, I am off to look to see if there are any more books in this series. I am so glad I gave this a shot!

Since 2011, Flex, Gem, Hemp, Charlie, and their families have struggled to survive in a world gone dead. Nearly 20 years later, at the dawning of 2029, they are under siege yet again. After more than a decade of relative calm in the fortified city of Kingman, Kansas, a new onslaught of the walking dead has our heroes struggling to understand the reasons behind it. There is no time to come up with a plan. The fences appear inadequate and the Mothers and Hungerers are dead set on getting to the nourishment within....

Awesome ending! <insert fist pump here>
Revisado: 08-19-20
It’s the end of the series- and I loved it! I like “happy-ish” endings like this - although, come on, you could have found the cat! Cats never get a break in the zompoc. Poor kitties.
I have no idea what the heck I’m going to read now. After finding a stellar series like this one, it’s hard to find something as good. Shelman can put himself on the same list as Tufo, Mayberry, Simpson, Bourne, Rowland, Clines, Haywood, Blackmore, Meredith and Philbrook! It’s a series I will reread in the future. Thank you for the hours of entertainment.... Shelman rules!

Still my favorite
Revisado: 08-08-20
Anyone who’s ever asked me who my favorite author is has always been told that it’s Mark Tufo and his zombie fallout series. I pre-order only two things in this world; Mark Tufo’s books and New Mexican hatch green chili. This series has always been my number one spot in the Zompoc genre.
The only thing that didn’t really make sense to me in this installment was:
By now everyone knows how to counteract the shriekers- you wear tinfoil hat. So why on earth is a simple tinfoil layer not installed in all of the military personnel’s covers? Or at least included in the basic kit. Every time I read that someone went down under the shriekers, I just shake my head.
Still loved it all though. If you enjoy the zombie apocalypse genre and you haven’t read this series, go back to the very first book, purchase them all and listen to them one right after the other. You will feel like you’re living this epic adventure.

Revisado: 07-15-20
I’ve read just about EVERY zompoc series available on Audible and this rates in the top five so far based on just the first book. Shelman fleshes our these characters just right and the pace of the story is perfect. Can’t wait to start the next book.

I love everything about this series
Revisado: 06-06-20
I don’t know who I love more; Barry for the stories or Phil for his narration. It’s a toss-up that’s just gonna end up in a ménage a Trois with Phil’s hilarious outtakes being the yummy ooey gooey center. I gobble up every book as soon as it is published to audible.
Hands-down - space team and the Dan deadman books are my all-time favorite in the science fiction comedy genre.
If you like to laugh and love a good adventure story in space, then start this series immediately! You’re welcome.
