Historia
In this award-winning Audible Studios production, Trevor Noah tells his wild coming-of-age tale during the twilight of apartheid in South Africa. It’s a story that begins with his mother throwing him from a moving van to save him from a potentially fatal dispute with gangsters, then follows the budding comedian’s path to self-discovery through episodes both poignant and comical.

Enlightening
Revisado: 03-31-20
One of the best personal memoirs I've ever read. The beautifully written story of a gregarious outsider, growing up embedded within a vibrant, particular culture. His inspiring inner journey might be a revelation to many readers and fans of the famous and successful young man whose many gifts and talents were honed at an extraordinary time and place, among vividly described, unforgettable people. Heartbreaking in parts, and deeply, darkly funny.

Historia
This is the classic story of the young Theseus - Prince of Troizen, King of Eleusis and Athens, slayer of the Minotaur. Mary Renault's powerful novel captures the modern imagination by weaving myth, legend, history, and fiction into the story of a young hero's search for his destiny, or moira. If you like The King Must Die, try The Bull from the Sea.

Sad treatment for a classic of historical fiction
Revisado: 05-09-03
The full version of The King Must Die by Mary Renault is a glowing, convincingly detailed retelling of the Greek myth of Theseus and the Minotaur. Unfortunately, this painfully truncated abbreviation sacrifices not only most of the details and all of the grandeur, but even the narrative logic of the original. The very talented reader tries to help the listener make sense of the muddled remains, but has been left too little to work with.
