Historia
Paradise, Massachusetts, is preparing for the summer tourist season when a string of car thefts disturbs what is usually a quiet time in town. In a sudden escalation of violence, the thefts become murder, and chief of police Jesse Stone finds himself facing one of the toughest cases of his career. Pressure from the town politicians only increases when another crime wave puts residents on edge. Jesse confronts a personal dilemma as well: a burgeoning relationship with a young PR executive, whose plans to turn Paradise into a summertime concert destination....

Definitely not Robert B. Parker writing
Revisado: 01-11-12
The author Michael Brandman (who wrote the screen plays for the Jesse Stone TV Movies starring Tom Selleck) continued the Jesse Stone legacy, but unfortunately he thinks he is still writing for the screen adaptation and not a book to follow in Robert B. Parker style.
The story is great, the narration is great, my main problem is Michael Brandman uses the book to marry up the book version and screen version of Jesse Stone, each of which in my eye(ear) were great in their own right but definitely different.
Overall I enjoyed the experience and am glad that Jesse Stone lives on, I only wish he would stay as he was.

Great fun, Great Story
Revisado: 04-29-11
You have to love Skulduggery Pleasant, he is a super suave detective with a great sense of humour. He and Valkyrie are great partners.
A fantastic book, can not wait for the next instalment

Great Listen
Revisado: 12-10-10
Even if you are not a Star Wars fan, this book is a great listen.
Her narration is fantastic and her delivery is wrought with dry humour.
This is not about Star Wars but about a person and how she copes with live

Historia
Daniel Pell is a contemporary Charles Manson. A petty criminal with a history of anti-social behaviour, he had a group of women living with him in a quasi cult in central California. Eight years ago, he and another man viciously slaughtered a family for no apparent reason, though the three women in his "family" were absolved of any part in the deaths. Now, present day, Pell has escaped and interrogator and analyst Kathryn Dance must find out where he is and why he's staying near the prison he escaped from.

Good listen but definitely not Lincoln
Revisado: 12-10-10
Not as good as Lincoln Rhyme but a very nice story with some good twists, but felt like the author was trying to hard at the end. got too much at the end, story could have finished a half hour earlier
