Great
Revisado: 12-17-15
Would you consider the audio edition of Lonesome Dove to be better than the print version?
I watched the Mini-series, Yes it took me 3 tries to get through the first hour, but after that I was Hooked. I had to watch the other 3 VHS tapes immediately--Yes, that be pre-DVD.Listening to Lee you can tell that he had also seen the video, because many of the characters had the same style as the actors had.
What other book might you compare Lonesome Dove to and why?
Not sure about his other books but I have seen several others..... He can tell a great story, and make you believe it actually happened...
What does Lee Horsley bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Like I said above. He portrayed the characters as they had been in the mini-series or vis-versa not sure if this audio or the video came first...

Historia
This best-selling, highly-acclaimed account is a hilarious but scathing baseball tell-all. After being voted the 1977 American League Cy Young Award winner, Sparky Lyle was rewarded for his efforts by being benched. The Yankees, a leader of free agency, signed Goose Gossage as their closer. Things only went downhill from there and the 1978 season turned out to be one of controversy, firings, fights, and acrimony. In short, it was a zoo.

Historia
Shyima Hall was born in Egypt on September 29, 1989, the seventh child of desperately poor parents. When she was eight, her parents sold her into slavery. Shyima then moved two hours away to Egypt's capitol city of Cairo to live with a wealthy family and serve them eighteen hours a day, seven days a week. When she was ten, her captors moved to Orange County, California, and smuggled Shyima with them. Two years later, an anonymous call from a neighbor brought about the end of Shyima's servitude - but her journey to true freedom was far from over.

Historia
It's just a small story really, about, among other things, a girl, some words, an accordionist, some fanatical Germans, a Jewish fist-fighter, and quite a lot of thievery. Set during World War II in Germany, Markus Zusak's groundbreaking new novel is the story of Liesel Meminger, a foster girl living outside of Munich. Liesel scratches out a meager existence for herself by stealing when she encounters something she can't resist: books.
