The Podcast That Changed My Life Forever

Just what I was looking for.
Revisado: 01-16-22
I absolutely loved this show. I only wish I had learned about it sooner. relatively recently, I learned of a quote by Marshall McLuhan that offered to me a profound philosophical insight for me. "There is no absolute inevitability. So long as there is a willingness to contemplate what is happening. " To my delight the simplest form of this insight was the ultimate conclusion of this show. Pay attention. since then everything I have learned as far as the philosophical work of Marshall McLuhan has perfectly aligned and grown my own understanding. I am truly grateful for your work on this. I was honestly quite saddened and a little discouraged when I searched McLuhans name into audible and found almost nothing as far as audible books go. I his was a mind we should know better as a society. because I don't think we've been paying close enough attention thus far.

Historia
How did Fidel Castro fool the CIA for a generation? Why did Neville Chamberlain think he could trust Adolf Hitler? Why are campus sexual assaults on the rise? Do television sitcoms teach us something about the way we relate to each other that isn't true? While tackling these questions, Malcolm Gladwell was not solely writing a book for the page. He was also producing for the ear. In the audiobook version of Talking to Strangers, you’ll hear the voices of people he interviewed - scientists, criminologists, military psychologists.

I Could Not Stop Listening
Revisado: 02-07-20
Malcolm Gladwell gives the performance of a lifetime in this audiobook. I was completely captivated from beginning to end, and deeply disturbed. One of the most insightful and analytical perspectives I've ever heard regarding the disconnect between modern society and modern policing, among many other disconnects our society faces. It's podcast like production keeps The Listener engaged without skipping a beat. This review can't even do it justice. It's that good. Just do yourself a favor and listen to it. Absolutely Brilliant.
