Genuinely Very Funny
Revisado: 01-28-18
A short read with a surprising amount of substance. The plot, locations, and characters and kept very contained and well managed. Parts of the book even had me laughing out loud. Can't wait for volume 2.

What is the nature of space and time? How do we fit within the universe? How does the universe fit within us? There's no better guide through these mind-expanding questions than acclaimed astrophysicist and best-selling author Neil deGrasse Tyson. But today, few of us have time to contemplate the cosmos. So Tyson brings the universe down to Earth succinctly and clearly, with sparkling wit, in digestible chapters consumable anytime and anywhere in your busy day.

It's almost like someone put a mic in front of Neil and instead of reading from a book he just talked about what he knew for 3 and a half hours.

This Was Like Suffering Through A Lifetime Original Movie
Revisado: 01-23-18
If you're listening to this book to be intrigued by an engrossing mystery, you'll be sadly disappointed. Instead you'll be treated to the whining of crying over dramatic young moms. I made it 6 hours into the book and I couldn't take it anymore. I actually hated the main character. She's insulted by everything, finds drama everywhere, and her past is CONSTANTLY brought up. She lost a baby during child birth, and boy do they want you to know it. 6 hours in and we still have the same information on the case as we did in the first chapter. The narrators are the only thing that kept me going for so long. They did a wonderful job, but even their talent couldn't stop me from hating a drama in this book. So much unneeded drama. Every single character aside from one or two were completely unbearable, dislikable, over dramatic people. Maybe I'll come back to this story January so I'm not a quitter, but for right now I want nothing to do with this story or it's privileged "basic bitch" characters.

Franco Did An Amazing Job
Revisado: 01-16-18
I've read a lot of reviews claiming that James Franco was quiet, monotone, and a terrible narrator. I think he did an amazing job. Each character soundly uniquely different from the next to the point where I was wondering if they got a new narrator to voice that character. Johnny was in a coma for almost 5 years, he wakes up and everything is new. He goes through multiple surgeries that leave him scarred and in pain. Everything around him seems to go wrong and he's constantly having visions of the past and future. Of course he's not going to be some chipper exciting guy. He's a very depressing yet strong character and I felt as though Franco nailed it.

Historia
Billy Halleck commits vehicular manslaughter when his lack of attention results in the death of an old gypsy lady on the street. Overweight Halleck is a lawyer with connections, though, and he gets off with a slap on the wrist. After the trial, the victim's ancient father curses him with a single word: "thinner". Shedding weight by the week, Halleck is desperate enough for one last gamble...one that will lead him to a nightmare showdown with the forces of evil melting his flesh away.

Just Like Billy, Not A Lot Of Meat To This Story
Revisado: 01-11-18
I feel like a lot of this book was "filler". There were hour or longer sections where nothing of substance happened. I liked the premise of the story but this could have been told in 5-6 hours. It has a decent beginning and a fantastic last 2 hours, but the middle portions didn't do it for me.

Great story but...
Revisado: 12-19-17
I absolutely loved this story. Couldn't stop listening. The only problem I had was that the first chapter about Stephen King writing as Richard Bachman spoils the ending.
