Historia
The day that changed Melody's life was like any other over the previous two years. She'd found she had a gift for writing, and her career as an author had almost healed the pain of losing her job. When the Secret Service rang her bell, everything changed. Something was nearing Saturn…and it was slowing down. Had she been right about the object?

True and interesting sci-fi
Revisado: 11-03-24
No paranoid galactic wars and the usual predictable story twists.
And not to much focus on bleak media

Historia
Ryland Grace is the sole survivor on a desperate, last-chance mission - and if he fails, humanity and the Earth itself will perish. Except that right now, he doesn't know that. He can't even remember his own name, let alone the nature of his assignment or how to complete it. All he knows is that he's been asleep for a very, very long time. And he's just been awakened to find himself millions of miles from home, with nothing but two corpses for company.

Fantastic.. Best first contact in years
Revisado: 08-23-21
No alien armadas
No wars
No flesh eating xenomorphs
No 4 part trilogy..
Just pure wonder of alien species meeting each other
The setting and context is imaginary and thrilling
The pace is calm but never boring
The wonder of first contact without the flat stereotypes..
Than you

U.S. spy satellites over Asia make a disturbing discovery. An arachnid, an elephant-sized creature created by an alien race, is roaming a forest in North Korea. How did it get there? What is its purpose? Is it a weapon of some kind? When there’s complete radio silence from the North Koreans, and further satellite images show the area around the creature being evacuated, the U.S. decides to send a joint military and scientific team to investigate.

Amazing and captivating
Revisado: 05-24-21
The religious undertones put me of a bit, but do not let that prevent you.
Great characters.. I think they are very "American" which can be a bit strange but it is an American novel so I forfeit.
But that's my only gripe.

Historia
After the untimely death of his mentor, Berkeley physicist Joshua Andrews has dedicated himself to finishing his mentor’s life work: Creating entangled particles that can communicate faster than light. When scientific journalist Rachael Miller comes to interview him at his lab, they make an astounding discovery, one as ancient as the universe itself. During the early moments of the Big Bang, entangled particles were created that spread with the expansion of the universe creating a subatomic communication network - a network that Joshua and Rachael have accidentally tapped into.

Great and interesting. But..
Revisado: 04-20-21
Great.. But the i believe without any rational reason as an admirable trait is hard for me to find believable in the women main character.. Gives me the shivers.. After following religion and politics in states I'm afraid of giving that narrative any ground.

Historia
A belief in free will touches nearly everything that human beings value. It is difficult to think about law, politics, religion, public policy, intimate relationships, morality—as well as feelings of remorse or personal achievement—without first imagining that every person is the true source of his or her thoughts and actions. And yet the facts tell us that free will is an illusion.

Revisado: 04-23-17
The constant cliffhanger and the overwhelming amount of catastropheies the characters are subject to gets tiring.
Great story though... but this trend of telling a story without some closure at the end is a bad habit of modern writers.. great book series have closure and still you want more..
