Unexpected in the best way

I was not expecting the depth in the story, but so pleased I read this … and just before Halloween. Not as spicy as I was expecting, but really enjoyable. Eager to start book #2 and read more from this author.

I am revived!!

I enjoyed every second of this book! It pulled me right out of my reading slump, so I feel revived!! I just wish I had not put off reading for so long. I’ve been hearing people say that folks with ADHD can easily predict a book plot. Unfortunately, this is the case for me. I found the twists and turns to be more unexpected, which was thrilling for me.

Wild & Vibrant Raven World

I adored this wild ride! The narrators were probably my favorite of all time! That’s really saying something considering the number of books I devour. Reminded me a little of the show Carnival Row - just a little. I’m thrilled I found a new (to me) and exceptionally talented author.

My takeaway of the book is uncomplicated, I just really enjoyed it! I thought it was different, which made it interesting and fun. I found myself laughing out loud at times.

Annoying Main Character

I found myself completely annoyed with Alix! So much so that I struggled to finish the audiobook!! She seemed reprehensibly shallow, silly, whiney and too dramatic. I would have loved for Alix to say to Alex(ander) that she apologized for being a selfish twat for not considering his feelings and disrespecting what was of importance of him (his profession in particular). Yes, she did apologize, but I didn’t feel as though this was fully conveyed. Her unfortunate friends all deserved an apology for her being so rude to all of them.
I really enjoyed the concept, storyline of the book, narration, book title and the character of Alex(ander). He was a complex, yet simple, man that was so sexy!

Being a big fan of hot firemen, I'm married to one, I thoroughly enjoyed this fun summer read. I found myself laughing out loud numerous times, which resulted in me receiving a few strange looks while grocery shopping with my ear bud in. I think one man actually thought I was smiling at him. Sorry Mister.
