This series continues to be captivating. No sluggish middle series filler books. Series goes on strong through each installment and it's clear there's an overall plan.
Many series that run past the Trilogy mark show signs of getting lost while the author fills and releases while waiting for the rest of the story to come together in their head.
The Hunter series seems almost to be working from a strong preplanned outline which really is rare in my experience in reading a 10 book plus series.
Only thing that bothers me has nothing to do with the series. The narrator is a little low rent without the range to personalize such a large cast of characters. I get the feel that he records a full book nearly every day. I run into his narration all the time usually attached to bulk releasing by multiple authors who haven't been deemed important enough to rate a more nuanced narrator. Too bad in this case. Seems they didn't expect the quality level this series is proving. Maybe if the production company could have known beforehand they could have gotten quality narration. Oh well, overall:

JR books over the last 5 years have surpassed ALTER in a recognizable personal style, the lack of which may disappoint listeners of recent R C Bray, JR content.
I liked this story, though it doesn't not contain JR'S usual way with words, enhanced by an RC Bray delivery, this is a good story.
Forget who the author is and just get into the story. It is worth a listen....
very character driven, each fully fledged; Greg, the MC, I.may know about him than I know about myself.
TLDR: A very entertaining, deep dive into the psyche of a man under extreme circumstances and the forced transformations the mind and body go through as a result.

Had to stop after 30mins. Luckily the R. C. Bray version is still out there if you know where to look ☠
This will wheaton version is so dull. R.C. Bray brings Mark Watney to life
