Historia
Meet Harold Fry, recently retired. He lives in a small English village with his wife, Maureen, who seems irritated by almost everything he does, even down to how he butters his toast. Little differentiates one day from the next. Then one morning the mail arrives, and within the stack of quotidian minutiae is a letter addressed to Harold in a shaky scrawl from a woman he hasn’t seen or heard from in twenty years. Queenie Hennessy is in hospice and is writing to say goodbye.

Do you know me?, the email began, sparking tremors of fear that turned into a full quake of panic when William Dameron discovered that his selfie had been stolen by strangers. On social networks and dating sites, his image and identity - a forty-year-old straight white male - had been used to hook countless women into believing in lies of love and romance.

The LIES and destruction
Revisado: 07-16-21
Good read, excellent narrator! I never give indepth reviews, but this is worthy of additional comment. At times, I was ready to quit this book, but the narrator kept me engaged. Now about the book. It was extremely selfish of this writer to hide his personal agenda inside marriage. Since it was HIS lie to begin with, he should have lied when asked if he was bi-sexual, instead of devastating his wife by telling her that he was NEVER attracted to her. He caused tremendous hurt to his children by forcing his self-serving agenda on them. If he really cared, he would have seen his lie thru until they were grown. That said, this book IS well written and very insightful. It is a cautionary tale and possibly a guide to redemption. It is worth the credit.

EZ RAWLINS W/ LISP?
Revisado: 02-28-21
I am a avid follower of the EZ Rawlins series , and anticipated this story. I LOVE EZ Rawlins and Mouse, but NOT this narrator. He takes the smooth from EZ and makes him sound like an old man and Mouse sounds like a whispering girl! This story explains the whole EZ, Mouse and Mama Jo connection but I struggled getting thru this book. Now... Michael Boatman IS EZ so PULEEZE let him continue to read for this series!!!

Historia
In the beginning, Ezekiel "Easy" Rawlins and Raymond "Mouse" Alexander were merely two young men hitting the road. In a "borrowed" 1936 Ford, they head for Pariah, Texas on a mission to retrieve money from Mouse's stepfather so he can marry his EttaMae. But on their steamy bayou excursion, Mouse chooses murder as a way out, while Easy's past liaison with EttaMae floats precariously in his memory. Easy and Mouse are coming of age - and everything they ever knew about friendship and about themselves is coming apart at the seams.

Historia
Folksy and fresh, endearing and affecting, Fried Green Tomatoes at the Whistle Stop Cafe is the now-classic novel of two women in the 1980s; of gray-headed Mrs. Threadgoode telling her life story to Evelyn, who is in the sad slump of middle age. The tale she tells is also of two women - of the irrepressibly daredevilish tomboy Idgie and her friend Rut - -who back in the thirties ran a little place in Whistle Stop, Alabama, a Southern kind of Cafe Wobegon offering good barbecue and good coffee and all kinds of love and laughter, even an occasional murder.

Historia
Eric Jerome Dickey strides boldly over the minefield that is modern marriage. The central couple's biggest challenge is timing: He works days; she works nights. Instead of growing together, they're rapidly drifting apart, coexisting on stolen phone calls from work, punctuated by occasional bedroom encounters that leave them both feeling even emptier and more alone. When she finds out about his affair - and starts her own - the delicate fabric of their marriage is torn irrevocably asunder. Or is it?

WOW!!! Awesome story and great narrator. This story turns frivolous to soul searching. My heart hurts for David Lawrence... as he is the only true victim. Im looking for more of Mr. Dickey
