Wow! This book was so much more than I had initially expected it would turn out to be! The narration was amazing. The story, though, had me ignoring daily tasks and losing a night of sleep because I simply HAD TO KNOW what happened next. Very believable and inspiring characters. A great story for sure! Wish this was a series!

As a first-generation American of Brazilian and Portuguese parents, it’s frustrating to see Spanish used with Brazilian characters in works of fiction. Not here! Thank you for using Portuguese for Gabe’s character. The narrators even did a pretty good job with their pronunciation!

Lead Female Character Is SO DUMB

Teddy Hamilton is phenomenal, as usual. Female narrator was alright. But the character herself was just the absolute dumbest b*tch ever. Couldn’t find it in me to feel any sympathy for her, any understanding for her actions, and completely unrelatable.

Some Loose Ends!

Overall- loved the story.
However, it felt like some loose ends remained in the form of questions unanswered… (or did those parts happen when I was listening while simultaneously trying to do too many other things?)
Who was the creepy guy following Diana when she went jogging at 4am?
Who was Insolent, really?
Adam said he was going to confront Stefan and Serena for being gossips…but it never happened?
What was Diana’s hang up about being recorded during her session with Chris?
What had happened to Adam’s parents?
Maybe I’ll never know. Hopefully these, and other burning questions, don’t keep me up at night! ;)
