Surround yourself with people with different ideas
Revisado: 05-07-25
Diversity is important to be successful in business. If everyone thinks alike the ideas will dry up and the business will not grow.

Belief in yourself and don’t listen to the naysayers
Revisado: 05-07-25
I loved when Jamie was turned down by QVC and she still preserved and believed in herself. She ended up hiring him after he left QVC. Many others would have believed that but Jamie kept going on, but I felt so bad for her when the other guy basically said “we don’t believe that our customers would like cosmetic from a person like you. Oh that would have hurt me so much. I would have taken that personally. I loved the interview and kept listening. Wonderful interview.

Culture and the changes we go through
Revisado: 04-24-25
I felt like this is my life. Kadi is Jamaican and so am I. She grew up in Connecticut and so did I. She is artistic and so am I, She moved to California because Connecticut was so cold. I moved to Texas so again it sounds like my story. She had to take care of her hair without any direction. Ditto. I could not stop listening to this story. It pulled me in and I could not stop listening. Love the story.
