Historia
Jason arrives at a kingdom in peril and he's surprised to discover that it's not his job to save it. With the authorities fulfilling their responsibilities (for once), he looks forward to some quiet time to rest and recuperate. The locals might not find ceaseless monster onslaughts and an interdimensional invasion relaxing, but Jason has had a rough few years. He's doing his best to let go of his anger. While his team is caught up in duty, Jason has no shortage of people looking to interfere with his rest. Enemies—old and new—are circling, and even would-be allies are trouble.

Historia
Through Commodore Slater’s efforts, humanity’s war with the council is over. He gave Earth the tools it needed for victory, but at a great cost to himself. The Franklin was destroyed, and his core is slowly dying. Discovered by those who seek to use him for profit, Slater is taken to Sarton Station. His captors intend to use him for their own amusements, but they have made a deadly mistake. They have placed a derelict core right where he wants to be, in a station surrounded by all the salvage and biomass he needs to recover his mind and rebuild the Franklin.

books from the series. I'm seeing repetitive tired troupes bring used multiple time in the same book, and even twice in the same chapter. Ill still probably pickup the 5th book when it comes out, but its for completionism reasons, not that I have any hope of excellence in the closing gasp of this series. Meh.

Historia
Thousands of crew are reported dead, including the ship’s captain. Reluctantly, the young XO, Galvin Quintos, will be taking command of the fleet's crippled dreadnaught, the USS Hamilton, while doing his best to bring fleet survivors back to Earth. To make matters worse, there’s a murderer running loose on board the ship, critically low fuel levels, and the Grish are back, in fast pursuit and ready to finish what they’d started. Only by sheer luck - and a good measure of cagey smarts - will Quintos be able to rise to the challenge.

A struggle to find any military discipline
Revisado: 12-16-21
Biggest issue is the total lack of believable compentance when anyone is away from the captain. second biggest issue with the main character who has spent years as an XO, but lacks even the remotest hint of compentance in delegation or respect it seems for people when something is happening outside of thier control, he devolves into a disrespectful snot.

Historia
It’s not easy making the career jump from office-supplies-store middle manager to heroic interdimensional adventurer. At least, Jason tries to be heroic, but it's hard to be good when all your powers are evil. He’ll face off against cannibals, cultists, wizards, monsters...and that’s just on the first day. He’s going to need courage, he’s going to need wit, and he’s going to need some magic powers of his own. But first, he’s going to need pants.

Great political space scifi.

Engaging and believable charachters and scenarios. tech gag isn't so massive as to make it space fantasy, and no machine duex ex being deployed to cover plot loop holes.

great till last two chapters
Revisado: 02-12-21
week opening, turned into great relationship building and some fun interplay between charchters.
lots of long term goals are flushed out with some potincial for political drama being added in.
but the entire book falls down in the final two chapters, as multiple times for the sake of bad plot drivers the Intilligence, abilities, and power of charachters that the book has been building up, just ignores and bypasses thier presence in a wholly unbelievable series of events.
poor use of the setup, total ignorance in scope for the reader of the army buildup idea as they are never utilized, and finally the somehow omnipresence ability of an enemy to compltly bypass all of the very specifically created efforts to thwart this very thing from occurring is maddening heavy handed and ultimately just burns the previous four chapters worth of build up for a poorly written moment of self realization by the main protagonist.
ugg.

Historia
Civil war looms in the Bobiverse in this brand-new, epic-length adventure by Audible number one best seller Dennis E. Taylor. More than a hundred years ago, Bender set out for the stars and was never heard from again. There has been no trace of him despite numerous searches by his clone-mates. Now Bob is determined to organize an expedition to learn Bender’s fate - whatever the cost. But nothing is ever simple in the Bobiverse. Bob’s descendants are out to the 24th generation now, and replicative drift has produced individuals who can barely be considered Bobs anymore.

Historia
He had survived a spaceship crash, alien slave traders, space pirates, and fierce gladiatorial combat. Hell, he’d even faced an actual fire-breathing dragon and lived, but now, he was presented with an even greater challenge. Domestic living, captive on a strange world. Charlie almost had to laugh at his changing circumstances, having seen it all since a wormhole spat him out in a distant galaxy. He learned to fight, he learned to use magic, he even learned to kill - to survive at all costs.

A fun story from start to end, however....
Revisado: 10-04-20
the characters are entertaining throughout the entirety of the story, however many of the situations throughout the storyline are left without complete details or two glazed over. as well as I find it disappointing that both Aura and Charlie would have left their allies to such Slaughter and abandonment at the end of the tale, which seems to have been in opposition of their previous intent, actions, and character Construction.
