I started this book first in the series, but now I’m making my way through the rest of the group.
Reckless has a great story, and lovable characters.
Definitely worth a credit.

It wasn’t very deep, I’ll say that. Their relationship didn’t have much to unpack. The plot itself was good enough, but honestly it wasn’t really this grand love story. Without spoiling it, it was really just two people meet in a bar…and then nothing happens. And then more nothing. And then suddenly the book is done, and they’re in love.
It didn’t cost me any credits, so it was a nice in between book. But yeah, nothing really to grab onto or pine after in this relationship.
I love Tim Paige’s narration always. I wasn’t crazy about the female narrator. It was too breathy and husky into the mic. A lot of the time I was like alright chill man. Lol.

I love them!!! An interesting story, but I stayed for the relationship. Adam is my new book boyfriend.
I don’t want to say anything about the book and spoil it for anyone, but this was one of my favorites.

I seriously was hooked from the start of this book until the end. There were moments I was so frustrated with the main protagonists. It’s very You’ve Got Mail meets A Cinderella Story meets Mean Girls.
I completely agree with the reviews, Zach is my new book boyfriend. This book definitely gives you all the feels, angst, and heartbreak.

I really wanted to like this one. It started out cute and I love the idea that Lala (btw cringe) was Holden’s best friends sister, and the whole forbidden fruit vibe. I just wish it had more excitement to the story. It was very slow, and yet it could’ve been wrapped up a lot nicer. This review sounds harsher than I meant it, but the pen is mightier than the sword lol. Idk I didn’t hate it, and didn’t truly like it that much. Plus he writes a song and the way the narrator dryly read out the cringey lyrics…I can’t…tooooooOoO cringe.

So in conclusion, I don’t think it was worth the credit.

I loved this story! A very sweet build mixed in with some spicy romance. The fallout that every romance novel writes between the two main characters was short lived and jumped right back into the heartwarming love sooner than later.
Both narrators delivered!

It was everything you’d expect from a Melanie Harlow book.
The story was definitely a nod to Mac and Franny, but I wasn’t mad about it.
I loved their love story, so to be able to sort of relive a version of that with their daughter was great.

The single/grumpy dad who is older than the female
lead is a timeless classic, and I’d 10/10 recommend a listen.

Now, I’m off to read Taste! Finally!

So…alright let me just start by saying I did like this book. The story has a lot of layers and a lot to unpack.
I just couldn’t deal with how annoying Nora was. She’s 6 years old, and acts like a toddler. The way everyone treats her and adores her would be actually endearing if she wasn’t such a whiney little troll lol. And the way they always tried to make it sound like she was so insightful and saw the things unspoken or unseen…nah I don’t buy it.
Call it harsh, but I just could not with her.

On top of that, with how much Emma had gone through and her childhood, and how her mom was…I’m so surprised that “Lala” wasn’t more empathetic and sympathetic towards Emma.
It wasn’t almost as if she placed nearly equal blame on Emma and her mom for “abandoning” her all those years ago.
And how is Emma not In therapy?? Why is no one suggesting this to her?? She’s a trauma survivor for sure and needs professional help. Even with Reed being patient and kind and a safe haven for Emma…she still needs more. Especially since it wasn’t a big change for Emma’s personal growth throughout the book. I would have liked to see more development in her strength.
The book was just a bit too slow moving for me. There were certainly sooo many details to unravel, but it got a little boring.
It’s a wonderful story, and the narrators were great. Savannah Peachwood is always a fave of mine, and Tim Paige is a new one but he was great too.

I guess to sum it up…get rid of Nora, Lala is a little dare I say…”toxic” in a sense….reed is a beautiful soul, and Emma needs therapy.
But all in all…it’s worth a listen.

Their love story is truly beautiful. It was full of hardcore angst and unyielding love.
The ending/prologue is wonderful because you get to see things from Elec’s perspective. Having the entire store read through Greta’s eyes, it was good to see just how much he loved her always through everything.
Randy is a total piece of garbage and it bothered me that there was resolve towards him at the end, but it was essential for Elec to move on I suppose. Pilar was also weak and I wish she wasn’t so protected in the story. She let her own son go through horrible things, as well as Sarah marrying Randy in the first place. I definitely judged her on that.
All In all, Elec is dark, brooding, and swoony in all the best ways. I’m so glad he found love!! And Greta was the perfect mix of vulnerability but was never cast as the weak female who let the male drag her heart around.
10/10 would recommend.

I loved their story so much! Tyler was just the perfect parts of sarcasm and tenderness. They were so playful together, and it made their dynamic so fun to explore.
My only complaint is that after the conflict between them, there wasn’t a big steamy reunion scene. I mean, I wanted some passion lol. It’s implied however in the story, you just don’t get to live it in detail. It’s fine, im fine.
The epilogue is great too because it brings the whole clan together for a nice farewell scene.
A nice end to the series for me!
