Historia
This New York Times best seller is a thrilling account of one of the most pivotal moments in United States history. Six months after the Declaration of Independence, America was nearly defeated. Then on Christmas night, George Washington led his men across the Delaware River to destroy the Hessians at Trenton. A week later Americans held off a counterattack, and in a brilliant tactical move, Washington crept behind the British army to win another victory. The momentum had reversed.

How did America win its Independence?
Revisado: 02-10-05
This is a WONDERFUL book for everyone interested in America. Fischer chronicles the campaign through New Jersey leading up to and following the battles of Trenton and Princeton. Not new ground, but Fischer does a wonderful job of telling several very interesting stories that bring the struggle to life: he chronicles Washington's devoloping leadership style; he debunks the myth of Hessian incompetence and drunkeness at Trenton; and he shows how the strategic aims and tactics of the two armies (and their partisans) evolve as they fight for control of New Jersey.

Historia
While in Paris, Harvard symbologist Robert Langdon is awakened by a phone call in the dead of the night. The elderly curator of the Louvre has been murdered inside the museum, his body covered in baffling symbols. As Langdon and gifted French cryptologist Sophie Neveu sort through the bizarre riddles, they are stunned to discover a trail of clues hidden in the works of Leonardo da Vinci—clues visible for all to see and yet ingeniously disguised by the painter.

Destined to become a witless flick....
Revisado: 01-15-04
This is truly an awful book. The uni-dimensional characters populating this story are as engaging as canned spaghetti. The writing is equally dull. The only interesting mystery here is why this book sold so well.

Historia
Master of the Senate carries Lyndon Johnson's story through one of its most remarkable periods: his 12 years in the U.S. Senate. At the heart of the book is its unprecedented revelation of how legislative power works in America, how the Senate works, and how Johnson, in his ascent to the presidency, mastered the Senate as no political leader before him had ever done. "There is something uniquely mesmerizing about the wily, combative Lyndon Johnson as portrayed by Caro," says Publishers Weekly.

A truly great book...too bad its abridged
Revisado: 12-09-03
The three books which constitute this history of Johnson are truly outstanding. Caro has an unmatched ability to vividly capture his subject's character and portray the world in which they operate -- without pulling any punches. Best of all, by the time Caro is done, you understand not just how Johnson successfully climbed to the leadership of the Senate, but why. The series is not just great biography, but a highly entertaining look at the American political system. Unfortunately, Audible offers only an abridged version.
