Historia
The Way of the Psychonaut is one of the most important books ever written about the human psyche and the spiritual quest. The new understandings were made possible thanks to Albert Hofmann’s discovery of LSD - the microscope and telescope of the human psyche - as well as other psychedelic substances. This comprehensive work is a tour de force through the worlds of psychology and psychotherapy, Holotropic Breathwork, maps of the psyche, birth, sex, and death, psychospiritual rebirth, the roots of trauma...

A powerful, experiential journey from white cult to Black consciousness: Harrison Mooney’s riveting story of self-discovery lifts the curtain on the trauma of transracial adoption and the internalized antiblackness at the heart of the white evangelical Christian movement.

An Important Voice That Needs To Be Heard!
Revisado: 10-07-23
Highly recommend!! Harrison Mooney courageously and honestly shares his experience as a transracial adoptee and his discoveries of the dark truths of the adoption system. The read is poignant, honest and beautiful. This is a very important voice and experience that needs to be heard and taken seriously so we can have the conversation to move forward in a healthier direction for our society. I admire Mooney’s bravery in sharing his story. Beautifully written and Mooney’s own voice is perfect.

Hilary believes fervently that consciousness is more than the sum of our biology. When she receives a position at a prestigious think tank, she develops a novel experiment to prove that humans are intrinsically altruistic, but the results are something she never anticipated.

Love this play! Fascinating dialogue about consciousness, altruism and what it means to be human. The heart and true emotion of the story is led by the protagonist Dr. Hilary, a birthmother who surrendered her only daughter to adoption.

Historia
In a world that keeps us separate from each other, MDMA is the chemical of connection. Aptly known in popular culture as “Ecstasy,” MDMA helps us rediscover our own true loving nature, often obscured by the traumas of life. On its way to becoming a prescription medication due to groundbreaking research on its use to treat PTSD, Ecstasy can offer benefits for all adult life stages, from 20-somethings to seniors.

Admirable Life Journey
Revisado: 04-09-22
Along with important info and entertaining stories about MDMA journeys or “rolls,” this is also a story about aging with a youthful spirit. I am grateful to the author for sharing his life’s journey thus far and thrilled that he has been living his bliss. It’s a great lesson for all of us. I recently had a guided MDMA journey myself and related to so much of what was said about this sacred medicine. This is a book that should definitely help the psychedelic revolution and its positive progress.

Historia
B. Rosenberger Rosenberg, neurotic and underappreciated film critic (failed academic, filmmaker, paramour, shoe salesman who sleeps in a sock drawer), stumbles upon a hitherto unseen film by an enigmatic outsider - a film he’s convinced will change his career trajectory and rock the world of cinema to its core. His hands on what is possibly the greatest movie ever made, a three-month-long stop-motion masterpiece that took its reclusive auteur 90 years to complete, B. knows that it is his mission to show it to the rest of humanity. The only problem: The film is destroyed.

Will read it 7 more times!!!
Revisado: 12-03-21
Genius! I will read this, or listen to it 7 more times! Of course one of those listens will be as an ape, another listen will be backwards from ending to beginning and another upside down, that is I’ll stand on my head listening to all 25 hours on my head. I may even entertain an 8th visit, but this time actually reading it, the book itself, the words, because the words are brilliant. Only then I may share it with the world but it will only be shared from my memory which is mine alone, or I may just keep it to myself.

Historia
Humans, unlike other animals that are drawn to water, are not natural-born swimmers. We must be taught. Our evolutionary ancestors learned for survival; now in the 21st century, we swim in freezing Arctic waters and piranha-infested rivers to test our limits. Swimming is an introspective and silent sport in a chaotic and noisy age; it’s therapeutic for both the mind and body; and it's an adventurous way to get from point A to point B. It's also one route to that elusive, ecstatic state of flow.

Historia
Ignatius Lohman longs to make his mark, to be someone. But in a world populated entirely by superpowered beings, he’s nothing but a powerless white-collar civilian. Iggy’s plight is not helped by the fact that his father, General Lancelot Lohman of the defense agency PEERLESS, is one of the most powerful men on the planet. Then, suddenly and unexpectedly, Iggy finds himself in the crosshairs of Erle P. Van Owen, a megalomaniacal corporate overlord with the astonishing ability to neutralize any superpower.

A More Layered Super Hero Sory
Revisado: 08-22-20
Kudos to Gus Krieger for creating his own, unique superhero story. Yes, it has all the exciting elements that draws fans to superheroes in the first place, but Superworld digs deeper with a protagonist who is a normal human being struggling with feelings of inadequacy and desires to be special, important and "super" in the world around him. Krieger challenges us to ponder what it actually means to be a hero. Is it someone with a supernatural talent? Is it someone who volunteers for work in a soup kitchen? Is it someone who kills a despot who would have killed hundreds? Is it someone who simply takes the time to listen to a child? Most of all, if someone has a super talent or super ability, would he/she use it for good/altruistic purposes or evil/selfish purposes? Krieger has a super talent with words, and he definitely uses his unique ability for good purposes in Superworld. I look forward to reading more from him.
The narrators are fantastic as well, particularly Berman with his great commitment to the depth of the characters created by Krieger.
