Satisfying conclusion to the Castle Harbor saga

The final (?) entry in the Castle Harbor series has a happy ending but you're sad to see the whole gang say goodbye. In this conclusion, the Blue Star resort is almost ready to open. The grand opening is a make-or-break event for the two protagonists: Dean Jensen, the CEO, and Wyatt, the event planner (whom we've met earlier in the series). Their careers are riding on the success of the grand opening. Neither expected love to complicate an already complicated situation. Of course, there's an HEA, but there are twists and turns to get there. Austin Jay does his usual fine job telling the story. Recommended.

Alex is the workaholic cafe owner. Tyson is the construction crew leader who is trying to say sober, but struggling with his alcoholism. Each one needs the other--and Alex and Tyson are more alike than different. They just need to give each other a second chance. Or a third one..... This is a powerful story, powerfully told by Austin Jay. The only complaint: It's too short. That's also a compliment.

A man with a paralyzing fear of water encounters a man who earns a living (and is raising his nephew) on an island. Can Lance (the decorator with the phobia) conquer his fear and give in to his attraction to Quinn, the single dad? As always, love conquers all, but not without plenty of twists, turns, and challenges along the way. This is a sad, sweet, and satisfying entry in the Castle Harbor series compellingly narrated by Austin Jay.

Jace is trying to take care of his younger brothers after the sudden deaths of their parents. But by terms of their will, his father wanted his best friend Rowan (and Jace's "almost uncle" and godfather) to adopt the younger boys instead of Jace. It's a set-up for a classic conflict, but this story doesn't develop in the way you'd expect. Because both Jace and Rowan know they have to work together to ensure the boys aren't turned over to foster care--and to keep their accidental family together. And Jace is developing feelings for Rowan. This is a powerful story, well told by Nikola Muckajev.

I had read this on Kindle, but the Audible book takes it to a higher level. It was like listening to a brand-new story, even though I knew the plot and the twists. Nikola Muckajev does an excellent job with Nico and Landon and all the supporting characters. Strongly recommended.

Compelling 2nd entry in Castle Harbor series

Picking up where the last installment left off, this entry continues the Castle Harbor saga with Zach (the architect of the new resort) tangling with Lucas (the owner of the B&B that might get put out of business by said new resort).

Will they start out as casual acquaintances? Become enemies when each one realizes what the other is up to you? End up as lovers when they reluctantly reconcile their differences? Of course! But this is a trip worth taking. Zach and Lucas are proud, all-too-human guys who take a while to understand they are more alike than they think.

J.P. Oliver has written another compelling love story, and Alexander Collins does a great job of narrating it.

Braden is a driven developer. Jesse's a passionate environmentalist. Braden is going to build his company's resort no matter what. Jesse's going to save the island's puffin population no matter what. Inevitably, there's a clash. But where's a clash, there's always friction--and heat. Great enemies to lovers stories with a believable story arc and some surprises along the way. This is a solid beginning to a brand-new series. Looking forward to the next one.

Strong entry in this series. Grayson's a combat vet coping with a prosthetic leg. Dylan's a physical therapist with his own bad memories. Can they heal each other? Can they heal themselves? Sparks fly, and when there's friction, there's also plenty of heat. This book has it all. Nikola Muckajev does a great job with the narration.

A rising celebrity who may have a cyber-stalker, Noah needs help. Logan runs his own security company--and Noah wants the help that only Logan can provide. This story has likable, believable characters, and Josh Cates does a great job narrating. Well worth checking out.

Can Micha (the bio dad) and Ben (concerned uncle) co-parent the orphaned son of Ben's sister? And can they do so without clashing or romantic entanglements? The answer is, of course, "yes" to both questions, but this is a fun trip to take with unexpected twists along the way to the HEA. Randi Johnson does a great job of narrating.
