Loved the 3-First-Person Angle
Revisado: 08-16-15
Although, in the beginning I kept wanting Rachel to get her act together, I soon fell in love with the story, the 3-first-person narration with an English accent, and was literally floored by the twist near the end. Thrilling book!

What three words best describe Tom Parks’s voice?
Not Andy Stanley

Excellent Book; Full of Much-Needed Advice
Revisado: 09-25-13
Would you listen to The Charisma Myth again? Why?
I need to listen to Charisma Myth again because she gave so much info, there was no way to bookmark everything. I'm actually thinking of purchasing a hard copy of it for study purposes.
What did you learn from The Charisma Myth that you would use in your daily life?
I learned how to have more courage, how to dispel fear in social situations, how to talk to people--one-on-one, in a group, or giving a speech.
Any additional comments?
I felt like the author had watched one of my friends who has a lot of natural charisma and was writing about her life.

Historia
A. J. Jacobs tackles his most challenging experiment yet: a yearlong mission to radically improve every element of his body and mind - from his brain to his fingertips to his abs. First, he had to tackle a complicated web of diet and exercise advice, most which is nonsensical, unproven, and contradictory. Second, he had to consult a team of medical advisers. And finally, he had to subject himself, over the course of two years, to a grueling regimen of exercises and a range of diets and nutritional plans.

Drop Dead Funny
Revisado: 09-25-13
Would you listen to Drop Dead Healthy again? Why?
I would listen again because I love the humor of A.J. Jacobs and the way he checks out the literal interpretation of whatever he's writing about. Bless his wife.
What other book might you compare Drop Dead Healthy to and why?
I also listened to "The Year of Living Biblically" which is even funnier than this book. Jacobs can get into some real predicaments. And again, God bless his wife.
What about A. J. Jacobs’s performance did you like?
His emotion
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
I laughed a lot while listening to this book -- it's great for traffic time.

Historia
A definitive, deeply moving narrative, Bonhoeffer is a story of moral courage in the face of the monstrous evil that was Nazism. After discovering the fire of true faith in a Harlem church, Bonhoeffer returned to Germany and became one of the first to speak out against Hitler. As a double agent, he joined the plot to assassinate the Führer and was hanged in Flossenbürg concentration camp at age thirty-nine. Since his death, Bonhoeffer has grown to be one of the most fascinating, complex figures of the twentieth century.

Would you consider the audio edition of Bonhoeffer to be better than the print version?
Yes, because I didn't have time to read the print version.
What did you like best about this story?
I loved hearing about Bonhoeffer's courage to stand up for his beliefs.
Which scene was your favorite?
When he visited a church in Harlem and, for the first time, truly experienced the Holy Spirit's presence. Would love to see Bonhoeffer's life as a movie, especially this scene.

This no-holds-barred autobiography chronicles the remarkable life of Phil Robertson, the original Duck Commander and Duck Dynasty star, from early childhood through the founding of a family business. An NFL-bound quarterback, Phil made his mark on Louisiana Tech University in the 1960s by playing football and completing his college career with a master’s degree in English. But Phil’s eyes were not always on the books or the ball; they were usually looking to the sky....

Would you listen to Happy, Happy, Happy again? Why?
I would listen to "Happy Happy Happy" again because the story of Phil Robertson's life and legacy is amazing.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Happy, Happy, Happy?
To hear about how poor Phil's family was as he grew up, how the love of his wife helped turn him around when he had gone down a deadly path, and then how successful the Robertsons are is the story of the American dream.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would the tag line be?
Faith, Family, and Ducks make for a Happy Happy Happy Life.

On November 22, 1963, three shots rang out in Dallas, President Kennedy died, and the world changed. What if you could change it back? In this brilliantly conceived tour de force, Stephen King - who has absorbed the social, political, and popular culture of his generation more imaginatively and thoroughly than any other writer - takes listeners on an incredible journey into the past and the possibility of altering it.

Shall we ... listen to a departure from reality?
Revisado: 05-10-12
Would you listen to 11-22-63 again? Why?
I would listen to 11-22-63 again, especially the ending, because it's so beautiful and I got so engrossed in the story.
What other book might you compare 11-22-63 to and why?
I have nothing to compare this book to, unless it's Ray Bradbury's "Somewhere a Band is Playing", but that doesn't even come close.
What about Craig Wasson’s performance did you like?
Craig Wasson sounded so similar to King and yet he could change voices on a dime--that was really cool.
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
The ending is very gripping, engrossing, sad, yet beautiful.
