Very Entertaining

I did enjoy the the MC is consistent with the scientific mentality. its always frustrating when you have a MC thats supposed to be smart but is portrayed as otherwise.

I am interested in finding out more about this series. Am hoping this first book is just setting the foundation for the books to follow.

i liked how consistent the characters were. storyline was really well thought out. the leveling up and experience issues were also cleared up in this book.

I was really nervous about starting this series. ive come across it several times but always moved on to another book. im so so glad i gave this a chance. what a great first book! The mechanics are logical and follow normal gaming mechanics. i love how the NPC angle is so unique in this series. i look forward to the next book.

short and sweet

I wasn't surprised about the length of the book. I'm late to this series and I like to binge. so I noticed when I started book one that these last two were shorter. Yet I didn't miss out on anything. in contrast to the books prior to this one, it was entirely focused on Rugrat and Eric. Chatfield managed to pull out more character development in these two guys. As they realize Alva isn't too different than the associations (aside from their people. Not to mention Chatfield makes you fall in love with a new character and all his wackiness, just like are emperors. I mean the ending DAMN! I just keep thinking about that final test and them gaining the will to guide their own futures. Chatfield could have written these books shorter for any reason, but I'm not asking for more.To me it feels natural, I'm still excited and anxious for the end of this series!

Good ending despite the time

I really enjoyed this entire series. so when I noticed how short this book was I was nervous. I do feel like the author wrapped up everything really well with this book. I am hoping the conversation between Rugrat and Erik was foreshadowing for another series 🙏 thanks for continued good series.
