Historia
Nearly 150 years later, the theory of evolution continues to create tension between the scientific and religious communities. Challenges about teaching the theory of evolution in schools occur annually all over the country. This same debate raged within Darwin himself, and played an important part in his marriage: his wife, Emma, was quite religious, and her faith gave Charles a lot to think about as he worked on a theory that continues to spark intense debates.

Would you listen to Charles and Emma again? Why?
I found the train of thought fascinating as Darwin developed his ideas. Even more interesting was the love he and his Emma shared, though their philosophies differed so dramatically.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Charles and Emma?
The death of their ten year old daughter, Annie was poignant and mystifying to me. That he did not visit her grave for so many years was puzzling, as he was the only parent in the vicinity when she died.
What about Rosalyn Landor’s performance did you like?
She is able to convey characters with voices both believable and easy on the ears.
If you were to make a film of this book, what would be the tag line be?
Love across a chasm.
