Historia
Nearly a half century into being a feminist and legal pioneer, something funny happened to Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg: The octogenarian won the Internet. Across America, people who weren't even born when Ginsburg made her name are tattooing themselves with her face, setting her famously searing dissents to music, and making viral videos in tribute.

A joy
Revisado: 03-01-19
One of the most pleasurable, engaging, and deeply important books I've read. It's a biography, yes. It's a legal analysis, to a degree. But more than anything, this is the tale of somone who has changed our society. Long live RBG.

Historia
American diplomacy is under siege. Offices across the State Department sit empty while abroad, the military-industrial complex has assumed the work once undertaken by peacemakers. We're becoming a nation that shoots first and asks questions later. In an astonishing account ranging from Washington, DC, to Afghanistan, Pakistan, and North Korea in the years since 9/11, acclaimed journalist and former diplomat Ronan Farrow illuminates one of the most consequential and poorly understood changes in American history.

I guess we really are present at the destruction
Revisado: 05-03-18
This book is a masterpiece. This book was a joy to read. And this book terrifies me. I still have hope though, because more incredible people like Richard Hollbroke and Ronan Farrow are working to end this war and make peace work again.

Historia
This playful, entertaining, and mind-bending introduction to modern physics briskly explains Einstein's general relativity, quantum mechanics, elementary particles, gravity, black holes, the complex architecture of the Universe, and the role humans play in this weird and wonderful world. Carlo Rovelli, a renowned theoretical physicist, is a delightfully poetic and philosophical scientific guide. He takes us to the frontiers of our knowledge: To the most minute reaches of the fabric of space, back to the origins of the cosmos, and into the workings of our minds.

Carlo Rovelli speaks about a brilliant wold in the simplest and most elegant way possible.
Along with Feynman's The Meaning of it All, this book allows us common men to peer into the reality of our existence.

Historia
A pilot stranded in the desert awakes one morning to see, standing before him, the most extraordinary little fellow. "Please," asks the stranger, "draw me a sheep." And the pilot realizes that when life's events are too difficult to understand, there is no choice but to succumb to their mysteries. He pulls out pencil and paper... And thus begins this wise and enchanting fable that, in teaching the secret of what is really important in life, has changed forever the world for its readers.

An amazing work

This book is simply a beautiful work of art and this performance accentuates and highlights the brilliance of the author. The pair together make this work complete.
