Great information
Revisado: 10-21-24
Great information and insight into the tech ecosystem. The point is not that problems are unsolvable, but that "solutions" are too narrow and apolitical to have true impact. importantly, this book does not just critique the industry and throw up its hands; alternative approaches (in all their complicated, nuanced glory) are also on offer.

Historia
A down-to-earth global pop star. A deeply spiritual, cerebral powerhouse. A famously outspoken introvert. For her millions of fans, and the few unacquainted, defining rock luminary Alanis Morissette is an exercise in dichotomies and nuance. And though her most formidable traits are seemingly at odds with one another, they are, oddly enough, completely emblematic of all of us: complex, conflicting, and, most importantly, ever evolving. With her striking command of language and profound emotional fluency, the 46-year-old covers an enormous amount of personal ground with listeners.

Thank you for riding that wave
Revisado: 04-15-24
If there is one thing Alanis Morissette has been to me, it is incredibly human. This is a beautiful and sometimes painful peek behind the (already sheer) curtain, revealing the complexity of emotionally navigating everything from unimaginable stardom to all-too-relatable struggles within parenthood. And these renditions of her songs are achingly lovely. Am excellent production.

Initially banned in France by King Louis, Molière's celebrated social satire Tartuffe exposes false piety and hypocrisy in the Catholic Church. When a pious fraud worms his way into a wealthy family and manipulates the patriarch into giving up his fortune, it’s up to his family to expose the truth before they end up in the poorhouse!

An excellent story, perfectly played

The full cast brought to life this fabulous translation, preserving all of the earnest wit of Molière's original play.

Self Help, made Badass
Revisado: 02-18-15
There are lots of books, coaches, seminars, and other self-help go-tos that make our snarky punk inner children want to run screaming from the whole lot. Jen Sincero is the antidote. This book is the immunization. It's perfect for anyone hesitant to dip a toe, and a welcome reminder for those of us drowning in a sea of self-improvement wondering what happened to their cool former selves.
It's still there. You are a Badass.
