Thorough and Intriguing
Revisado: 04-13-25
This writing wasn't just factual, it was a wonderful story of sinister, unholy and daunting truth as we encounter the real stories of 4 key people, Tammy, Steve, Jesus, and of course J. Warner Wallace. The amount of detail and even the addition of the drawings and how it all ties together is astounding, and I feel more equipped in understanding how Jesus impacted our world. Thanks for putting this together and sharing it with the world JWW. I'm grateful for your desire to share truth and weave it into the tapestry of mystery, murder and motivation.

Incredible and Funny
Revisado: 02-06-24
George, you are a genius. You tell your story in a funny and satirical way but you don't hold back with the challenges for what's better: being debt free. Your message was taken to heart by this millennial and although I've been paying down debt for over 12 years, it still feels overwhelming. Your words give fresh perspective and increased urgency to get the remainder of my debts zeroed out. You have so many quotables in the book, but I can't remember any specific one to quote here except the word FREEDOM. Thank you for putting to words so craftily what so many wish we could say every day: Goodbye debt. Hello Generosity.
You inspired me to make a Generosity idea board to inspire my debt snowball and pray through what God would have me do with what comes next. Thank you for stewarding your gifts so that I and thousands of others can steward ours for His Kingdom.

We’ve all seen the memes that populate the internet: live your truth, follow your heart, you only have one life to live. They sound nice and positive. But what if these slogans are actually lies that unhinge us from reality and leave us anxious and exhausted? Another Gospel? author Alisa Childers invites you to examine modern lies that are disguised as truths in today’s culture. Everyday messages of peace, fulfillment, and empowerment swirl around social media. On the surface, they seem like sentiments of freedom and hope, but in reality, they are deeply deceptive.

There is power in our words.
Revisado: 05-10-23
There is power in our words. Our culture has no clue, except that they know that certain words bring them attention, fame, and money. But redefining words that have long historical documentation and twisting them to mean something different that suits their agenda or blesses their plan, is at the core of idolatry. Alissa Childers boldly challenges these ideas with words, with scripture, and with honest humility. This is a book for every follower of Christ who lives their lives in alignment with His words, His Truth.

Historia
Alisa Childers never thought she would question her Christian faith. She was raised in a Christian home, where she had seen her mom and dad feed the hungry, clothe the homeless, and love the outcast. She had witnessed God at work and then had dedicated her own life to leading worship as part of the popular Christian band ZOEgirl. All that was deeply challenged when she met a progressive pastor who called himself a hopeful agnostic. Another Gospel? describes the intellectual journey Alisa took over several years as she wrestled with a series of questions.

Essential & Critical
Revisado: 03-21-23
Gone are the days when you can live life in a vacuum and pop up for air and a few local bits of conversation regarding morality, religion and the pursuit of happiness. Our 2023 pace compared to that of our parents, or even for a millennial like me, is light years faster and also more treacherous. From the ease of a few clicks on a phone or tablet to the other side of the world in a millisecond and from safety to the deepest darkest corners of human exploitation, exploration and theory...word and deed travel fast. We can hear someone say something and within seconds we can research their sentence, content, bio and validity. Yet in our oversaturated, ultra-stimulated, over-medicated, highly educated and chaotically complicated culture, we feed on the things we don't really want or need, simply because we have the time and resources to do so. What Alisa does with this book strikes through all the messages to establish a clear and refreshing reminder of how evil and desperate we are. Our greatest desire is to be known and loved and when that desire appears to be met in man and man's exploits, God is tossed to the curb and we justify it just like the Israelites. This is ESSENTIAL for your reading and CRITICAL for your understanding of the days we live in. In order to walk in wisdom, sources like this are necessary tools in our arsenal against the principalities and powers of this dark age. May God be glorified as you embark on this beautifully articulated journey of one woman's wrestling, writing and wit to help us all navigate through doubt and fear. 5 STARS!

Historia
In Gay Girl, Good God, author Jackie Hill Perry shares her own story, offering practical tools that helped her in the process of finding wholeness. Jackie grew up fatherless and experienced gender confusion. She embraced masculinity and homosexuality with every fiber of her being. She knew that Christians had a lot to say about all of the above. But was she supposed to change herself? How was she supposed to stop loving women, when homosexuality felt more natural to her than heterosexuality ever could?

Captivating & Liberating
Revisado: 08-05-22
The title is bold and beautiful. The story is even more. From the first page to the last, Jackie takes the reader through the series of moments wrapped in tangible words that have helped her see the Goodness of God. Her struggle was same-sex attraction. Her pain was visceral. Her story was uncomfortable. Her beliefs were challenging. Her words were inspiring. Her story is glorifying to the God who is Good.
I too have struggled in sexual sin. I believe that there isn't a soul alive who hasn't struggled, whether attracted to the same sex or the opposite, we all struggle with the desires inside us and how they show others--what they tell others about us. But I deeply appreciate Jackie's vulnerability to dive deep into the circumstances that led her to see that God didn't make her attracted to women so that she could experience His goodness. She wasn't born that way as so many in the LGBT community believe. Not in the sense that it's an unchangeable identity. But God, in His good grace allows us all to struggle because it shows us how much we NEED Him.
I've walked with many SSA men and women over the years and have seen God change their hearts from the inside out, just like Jackie. I'm so glad I finally got to listen to this book and will share it with others --not just those in the LGBT community, but also those who may be tempted to preach "the heterosexual gospel" and unknowingly cause more shame.
Thank you Jackie for being obedient in all the ways you so eloquently describe in your story --and the ways that were left out. May God continue to bless your story in the lives of so many who seek to understand a story of a gay person and a good God.

Rich Dad Poor Dad is Robert's story of growing up with two dads - his real father and the father of his best friend, his rich dad - and the ways in which both men shaped his thoughts about money and investing. The book explodes the myth that you need to earn a high income to be rich and explains the difference between working for money and having your money work for you. In the 20th anniversary edition of this classic, Robert offers an update on what we’ve seen over the past 20 years related to money, investing, and the global economy.

Revisado: 06-12-22
I incredibly love how he simplified his ideas to help others grow. The chapters are broken down into life lessons, practical advice, and relatable circumstances. From someone who grew up in a poor house, the principles of poor dad were very much displayed. But growing up and learning how to think differently, how to give, how to understand financial aspects that help transform life opportunities - - this book is now in my top 5.

Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn famously said that one of the biggest mistakes people make is assuming totalitarianism can't happen in their country. Many American Christians are making that mistake today, sleepwalking through the erosion of our freedoms. Live Not by Lies will wake them and equip them for the long resistance.

Get Ready
Revisado: 01-21-21
This book presents a bold call of impending challenges to Christians in the USA, like that of believers in Russia and Czechoslovakia as the Nazis and then Stalin took power. I enjoyed it as much as it scared me and challenged how I see the world I love in and how technology, as George Orwell described in 1984, can become more than just convenient ways of living; it can actually be the vehicle to limit our freedom. The author relates 1984 and Brave New World to how prophetic they are to what's happening in 2020 with President Trump and the COVID-19 pandemic.

Undaunted Courage
Revisado: 10-26-20
This story is one that must not be without clear and willful understanding as to the grievances of slavery. In this one account of a free man taken captive, one may also find similar threads of modern day human trafficking.
Solomon's loquacious narrative will challenge the reader to endeavor upon tangible experience, jovial anecdotes and egregious events that shine light on a dark shadow of human depravity.
