Historia
In this Audible Exclusive production, Academy Award® nominee Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) narrates one of Jane Austen’s most beloved works, Sense and Sensibility. In this timeless tale of misguided romance and heartbreak, two teenage heroines must overcome the pitfalls of Georgian England’s high society in order to achieve the love and happiness they seek. The admiration that Pike has for Austen’s work is shown clearly through this passionate delivery of Austen’s first published novel.

Beautiful performance
Revisado: 02-17-21
Good as it always is, Sense and Sensibility stands the test of time and third reading. Of particular enjoyment is the reader. She has done justice to all the characters while excellently allowing the story to shine. One of my favorite readers after at least a thousand books listened.

Love love love
Revisado: 11-12-20
This book pulled me in immediately. I wish I could get all of the books included. But there are two short stories and they are great. Good writing is good writing and I knew first thing this was good writhing for me. The story moves along, keeping me interested. Original premise. Love the skunk. It’s the series for me. Doesn’t even remind me of another series which is hard to do. Try it.

Historia
At an auction house in Bath, England, a large slab of carved stone is up for sale. At the height of what turns into very competitive bidding, there is a holdup attempt by three masked raiders who are trying to steal the stone. They shoot and kill the highest bidder, a professor who has recognized the female figure carved in the stone as the Wife of Bath from Chaucer's Canterbury Tales. The masked would-be thieves flee, leaving the stone behind.

Humorous British detective
Revisado: 11-10-20
I love this series. Diamond is one of my favorite characters. He’s brash and clumsy and soft on the inside. This may be my favorite of the series. And it’s a sold mystery every time. It is a police procedural but it’s really about the city of Bath and so much more. I highly recommend this series.
