Historia
Ever since she was cursed by a faerie, Theodora Ettings has had no sense of fear or embarrassment—an unfortunate condition that leaves her prone to accidental scandal. Dora hopes to be a quiet, sensible wallflower during the London Season—but when Elias Wilder, the strange, handsome, and utterly ill-mannered Lord Sorcier, discovers her condition, she is instead drawn into peculiar and dangerous faerie affairs.

This voice actress cannot do accents
Revisado: 06-06-24
The accent the VA gave the main love interest was atrocious. She also seemed to make him needlessly condescending when the lines could be read perfectly earnest. She's really good at narration and women's voices, but should skip men's.
The story is the perfect mix of Howl's Moving Castle and Pride and Prejudice. I loved it.

Historia
When Redwall was published in 1987 it catapulted author Brian Jacques to international stardom. And small wonder! This enthralling tale is jam-packed with the things we long for in a great adventure: danger, laughter, hairbreadth escapes, tragedy, mystery, a touch of wonder, a truly despicable villain, and a hero we can take to heart.

Historia
The rambling house called Thornyhold is like something out of a fairy tale. Left to Gilly Ramsey by the cousin whose occasional visits brightened her childhood, the cottage, set deep in a wild wood, has come just in time to save her from a bleak future. With its reputation for magic and its resident black cat, Thornyhold offers Gilly more than just a new home. It offers her a chance to start over.

Cute cottagecore romance

A dreamy getaway of a book so you can pretend you've just inherited a cottage in the English countryside from your cousin.

Actress can't do a French accent
Revisado: 03-06-23
The voice actress for this is wonderful at reading but her French accent is awful, which makes her a poor choice for a book with a main character who has a French accent.
The book itself also feels very much like it was written by an adult who doesn't remember what it's like to be a kid.

Historia
A blinding snowstorm - and a homicidal maniac - traps a small party of friends in an isolated estate. Out of this deceptively simple setup, Agatha Christie fashioned one of her most ingenious puzzlers, which in turn would provide the basis for The Mousetrap, the longest-running play in history. From this classic title novella to the deliciously clever gems on its tail (solved to perfection by Hercule Poirot and Miss Jane Marple), this rare collection of murder most foul showcases Christie at her inventive best.

Second voice actor has a horrible lisp
Revisado: 02-02-23
I couldn't finish this audiobook, because after Three Blind Mice the next short story was read by an actress with a horrible lisp. I have no beef with anyone with a lisp in general, but having it piped directly into your headphones is uncomfortable.
