no thank you
Revisado: 07-10-24
angsty teens with cheesy dialog. a modern day lord of the flies with older kids that should know better? I swore this year I would give all books I choose a chance and I really tried - but this one more than disappointed me. maybe the written book would be better?

cute story
Revisado: 07-07-24
very cute story with dream narration team of Pressley & Deakins. I was able to take it for what it is. a fun story.
the epilog though . . . . since it's new, it is discussing today's political climate. the 2 party romance sure - but in today's political 3 ring circus - never in a million years would I date anyone of the opposite political party than mine. I would rather stick forks in my eyeballs than spend one minute on a date with someone who's beliefs include my rights are not equal to his. Someone who would twist democracy, tear down our country and raise up an orange traitor felon as a viable candidate for his party.

what can I say? I stuck it out thinking it would improve. the preposterous story + ridiculous dialog made this worst audio I've listened to in years.

the book didn't feel like it was even written by Suzanne. the constant focus on the double names and the simpleton speak made this a real struggle to get thru - and I lived the others.

Money has been tight after the bushfires, and it’s about to get tighter if they can’t find a way to pay their suppliers to keep their business going and keep the bank from foreclosing on their property. Historia
In "People in Hell Want Ice Water" - an eerie and suspenseful short story about connection, trust, and self-preservation - a random hookup amidst the COVID-19 pandemic brings two lonely people together when they need it most. Colin is an immunocompromised software engineer living alone in Los Angeles when he meets Martha on an early morning walk. She’s irreverent and mysterious, and although Colin knows better than to invite a stranger into his house, it’s been over 40 days since he’s been touched, and he can’t resist the temptation.

Historia
“The Heron” is the nickname a big-city accountant has attached to himself in his new home near San Diego, where he’s using the alias to avoid a hit man who may be after him. It seems a former client believes that The Heron has skipped town with several million dollars not his own. Don Winslow’s ensuing, entertaining yarn is by turns twisty, dark, and comical as we observe the delicate dance between the pursuer and the pursued.
