It's not worth it. Same repetitive story chapters after chapter. MC is something more than frustrated. Don't believe the 5 star reviews. Truly not worth it.

Waaaaaay too long!!

Story would've been best at 7 or 8hrs. Villains role is too brief. MC behaves in a ridiculous manner and she's Hella aggressive. Finished only because I spent money. Not gonna make it past book 1.

Waiting on the next book is always the hardest part

So just to start, the familiarity of the same narrators is a blessing and a curse. Reminding me of Zodiac Academy with every chapter. The story starts off in an unconventional way but slowly and surely turns into the kind of story the two authors are known for. Both MC's have complex backgrounds but the only one I can stomach is Vesper. The other lets her vengeance cloud her judgment. And leads to so much whining and complaining. Not sure why you can't be likable and fierce. Thus far, the most intriguing characters are Kaiser and Bastian. Hell, even Caden. I'm really looking forward to their stories.

I don't understand some of the negative results. This was a pretty good book. Although I was able to figure out some of it, there were still some good twists I didn't see coming. I really enjoyed it'

Completely ridiculous

It takes a lot for me to feel like I've wasted a credit but this one did it. Careless mistakes, no accountability, clearly no brains and reckless behavior, leads to absolutely nothing. Where's the consequences?? If you're looking for a MC who's intelligent and a superior investigator, this is not the book for you. Just pass.

Sort of disappointing

There was no depth to the story, no mystery, no suspense, and I definitely was not thrilled. Although, I usually enjoy these books, but this one was severely lacking and disappointing. Can't say I'm done with the series, however, I hope the next one is better.

I really enjoy Tory, but....

I completely understand that Tori is a star of the series, but is it too much to ask for a more realistic police procedural. Tori seems to be the best cop, best agent, best with kids, and overall best at everything. they have been searching for this assassin for many years with no leads and Tori flies in and figures it out within one day. Give me a break. is it worth listening to, yes. but do I find myself sighing every other minute, yes.

Luckily, the book is good enough to hear twice even from two different perspectives. However, she should've added more new content, she could've written this differently and I would've waited a little longer that.
