Like most books narrated by Kevin Pierce, this book is no exception to the quality and listen and enjoyment!
The story has its own life even though it’s similarly mirrors other post apocalyptic books. I will give this book a nine out of 10 on pretty much every aspect!
It is absolutely worth your time listening and I think anyone who likes this genre will appreciating the writing style and narration of this Audible presentation!

Pretty good story line but kind of slow .
The biggest disappointment was the narrator who’s translation of dialog was nearly cringe worthy.
I would give it a six out of ten or in this case 3 out of five.

Valley of Vengeance was another edge of your seat ride into the effort to survive for Jim and his family and friends!
Once again I have to give kudos where they are due with a brilliantly written book and the wonderful narration of Kevin Pierce who I believe to be the absolute best audio book narrator in the game!
About to start book 6!
The borrowed World Series is one that brings to mind that I wish I had never started so I could start again for the first time!
You won’t regret this series!

I completed the first 3 books in a week!
About to start on book #4!
The story line is very believable and the struggles of these families and friends is spell binding!
This is the best series on post apocalyptic survival I’ve read since the Going Home series! In some ways maybe better!
Kevin Pierce is the best narrator alive in this genre as well as the political thriller genres!
If you’re on the fence, jump over! You won’t be disappointed!

This second book of the series has cemented me to my headphones!

I love the writing style of the author and Kevin Pierce is my favorite narrator in this genre.
Ashes of the Unspeakable was hard to pause and it sounds like book 3 will be phase 2 of the saga after Jim and his companions have returned home.
Can’t wait to put the headphones back on and absorb it as well.
Great series that I strongly recommend!

I really like the post apocalypse thriller stuff. From prepping, EMPs and survival to the thoughts of going back to 19th century living, I guess you could say that it is this old man’s bag.
I have never been into UFOs, werewolves or vampires though!
When I listened to the first few chapters of this book, I gave up on it for a couple of weeks .
I came back to it and started over.
Turns out that I loved it after giving it a chance.
In fact, shortly after the point I originally gave up on it, I was riveted !
Great book with above par narration!
I give it s solid B+!

Good but drawn out with a give up ending

The story was good but not riveting.
It moved very , very slow then suddenly ended with little rhyme or reason.
The 40 hour box set could have easily been accomplished in 20 hours.
I started to end it about 5 Times throughout, but hoped it would pick up pace.
It never did.
I don’t regret listening, but I wouldn’t do it again if I knew before hand.
