Historia
Golan Trevize, former councilman of the First Foundation, has chosen the future, and it is Gaia. A superorganism, Gaia is a holistic planet with a common consciousness so intensely united that every dewdrop, every pebble, every being, can speak for all - and feel for all. It is a realm in which privacy is not only undesirable, it is incomprehensible. But is it the right choice for the destiny of mankind? While Trevize feels it is, that is not enough. He must know.

Magnum opus of the Foundation series
Revisado: 08-15-24
Asimov left no question unanswered, no word, phrase, sentence or paragraph superfluous in telling his galactic tale of the best sci-fi series ever. It is especially superb that Asimov didn’t resort to galactic violence so typical of other sci-fi novels.

Historia
In 2012, on his third tour of duty in Afghanistan, an improvised explosive device left Dan Crenshaw's right eye destroyed and his left blinded. Only through the careful hand of his surgeons, and what doctors called a miracle, did Crenshaw's left eye recover partial vision. And yet, he persevered, completing two more deployments. Why? There are certain stories we tell ourselves about the hardships we face—we can become paralyzed by adversity or we can adapt and overcome. We can be fragile or we can find our fortitude. Crenshaw delivers a set of lessons to help you do just that.

I'm encouraged to embrace my sufferings, past, present and future with fortitude and forgiveness. Minimise outrage culture by recognising we are all imperfect humans with skeletons in the closet. Only God is perfect. Only God can judge.

Outstanding historical tale of Scandinavian life in the 11th century
Revisado: 02-14-22
Beautifully written epic saga befitting ancient Scandinavia with such exquisite detail of life and culture of going back to the 11th centuries or more when Europe was still waging a Holy War in Jerusalem. Absorbing story and even more compelling and irresistible characters that one falls in love with instantly. Narrated brilliantly by Gildart Jackson who conveyed the nuanced emotions so deliciously that made it so supremely entertaining!

Berlin, 1930. Sound film is conquering the big screen, leaving many by the wayside: producers, cinema owners - and silent film stars. Investigating the violent on-set death of actress Betty Winter, Inspector Gereon Rath encounters the dark side of glamour and an industry in turmoil. When his father requests that he help his friend, the mayor of Cologne, Konrad Adenauer, and his ex-girlfriend, Charly, makes a renewed attempt at rapprochement, things start to get out of hand.

Superb entertainment.
Revisado: 10-25-21
Mark Meadows was exceptionally brilliant and versatile in voicing the many unforgettable characters in Kutscher’s highly enjoyable crime novel set in in Berlin Europe nearly a century ago. It is so titillating to glimpse into a world without smart phones and everyone seems to be addicted to smoking. I appreciate the research behind the historical backdrop of this story. For one who don’t know German, I thank Niall Sellar for his expert translation giving me many hours of enjoyment and a good insight and impression of the intriguing city of Berlin that has remained so through the ages.
