How to FIRMly secure sales without the effort!
Revisado: 10-27-23
I have read all of John Grisham's books and he is a great author but this book is all about leveraging the "Firm" name. I don't even know why you need to have Mitch and the character's from the Firm even in this story. It doesn't further anyone's character and if you read the Firm, there is no way Mitch would end up at a big firm such as this. I think the plan was to take us back to Memphis where it all began but either they couldn't find a story there or they just ran into a hard deadline and decided it would be easier to take us in a total different direction. To me, the last 2/3 of the book seemed like it was not even written by the same author. After Mitch left Memphis everything seemed liked a chore to both the writer and the reader.
Out of respect for the author, I finished the book and out of respect for myself, I will seek a refund.

Historia
Miracles are happening. Pray to God they stop. In the dead of winter, on a highway in Quebec, a man crashes his car and survives. In New York, a homeless person is run over by a bus and lives. In Tokyo, a teenager jumps off a high rise building and fails in taking her own life. All over the world, miracles like these transpire, and people breathe a sigh of relief. But for the next week, some people will begin to suspect a terrible truth. A handful will even search for it. One man will find it. And in seven days, all hell will break loose.

Poor Attempt at a Sandman Story
Revisado: 01-17-23
I cannot write therefore I critique. This book is awful and shameful. I am a drunken sailor and the amount of swearing in this book is beyond meaning. It's was ridiculous and detracted way more than it could ever add and trust me, this story needed as much help as it could get. Terrible!
If you like your books written by a 12 year old that just learned what a curse word is and was a sadistic prison guard in a previous life, then this book will be a treat for you! Happy Readings you G** D*** Idiot!....you'll get my reference quickly if you decide to listen. You have been warned.

Historia
One summer in the 60s, in a staid suburb south of London, Paul comes home from university, aged 19, and is urged by his mother to join the tennis club. In the mixed-doubles tournament he's partnered with Susan Macleod, a fine player who's 48, confident, ironic, and married, with two nearly adult daughters. She is also a warm companion, their bond immediate. And they soon, inevitably, are lovers. Clinging to each other as though their lives depend on it, they then set up house in London to escape his parents and the abusive Mr. Mcleod.

by far the most unremarkable book I ever heard
Revisado: 05-03-18
Narration is fine so no fault there. As the first 15 minutes unfolded I thought/hoped this book might read like the diary of an old man that you find tucked under some books at a garage sale, you know a real treasure. You give it the benefit of the doubt for the first 30 minutes because you respect your elders and you think/hope they can share something wise with you. However, after you have totally zoned out for 7 hours as this book literally has gone nowhere and at the speed of water freezing into lava (makes no sense just like the book) you sadly realize that it is fact not a sage old man's diary but actually the uncompleted coloring book of 3 year old that had only 2 crayons (both made of slightly different shades of grey).
