This book tells the story in its broadest scope, highlighting the life of Jane Roe, her origins, her descendants, and prominent pro-choice and pro-life activists. It gives the background for trying to understand the conundrum abortion has become in America. It is well written, and the performance is engaging.

This book is an amazing, and sometimes painful, recounting of the author's journey with cancer. In addition, she explains the science of immunotherapy in laymen's terms. The book is enhance by both her skills as a professional writer and her willingness to delve into her emotional journey and to analyze her feelings at each new development in the course of her illness and treatment. She retells her own journey as well as those of several friends and relatives who suffer from cancer concurrently. This book describes the author's experience while explaining the current science involved in the treatment of melanoma.

Not what I expected, but an enriching experience. The author explores the inexpressible grief of losing a child with candor and searing honesty.

This book offered deep insight into the phenomenon of the movement of blacks from the south to the north trying to escape Jim Crow. The story is told through the lens of the individual stories of thrèe migrants, but the phenomenon itself is well described and analyzed.

As the parent of able bodIed kids and grandkids, I was brought to a fuller appreciation of the miracles of birth and development by this book and this writer. Another reviewer was disappointed by the shortage of tips for parenting the different child. I view this book as a way to build the emotional foundation on which all parenting must be based.

Excellent! This story of the Civil Rights Movement from the point of view of John Lewis is fascinating and inspiring. Congressman Lewis 's achievements are a testimony to the successes of the Civil Rights Movement.

This book opened my eyes to rural America, a perspective that is often overlooked. Informative and human in the best sense.

I chose this book to increase my acquaintance with this powerful therapeutic approach. It did not disappoint, but I found the self help exercises a distraction. Perhaps another of Hayes's books would have been a better choice. This book had the advantage of being very current and addressing the wide range of situations in which ACT can be helpful.

This is the memoir of a noble person, told with humility and honesty. The narration in part by the author adds poignancy to the memoir. Alec Trebek, the host of the Jeopardy quiz show for 36 years, shares highlights of his life, motivated by his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer. He is open, honest, and he has something to say. There is much to learn from him.
