When’s the next book coming out?
Revisado: 02-21-25
This addition to the series was a good one. I don’t want to give out spoilers, but I will say I felt at times feelings I didn’t want to feel. I was saddened, angered, and by the end left wanting more. All I can ask is, when does the next book come out? I would also like to point out the production of the audiobook was well done. The narrator did a great job in conveying emotions of the characters, well done overall.

It was interesting seeing Bobby’s reactions to his actions in the last book and how it affected him during this tale. It was well written, and the narration was great. I’m excited to listen to the hopeful next one!

Amazing Story
Revisado: 03-17-20
I’ve listened to a good number of audiobooks at this point, and I can honestly say this story is one of the best I’ve listened to yet. I found myself emotionally involved from having my heart race with excitement, to having tears in my eyes with sadness. The manner in which the story was written was captivating as I didn’t want to stop listening. On top of that, the narrator Paul McSorley did a great job bringing these characters to life with his voice. Great job to both author and narrator.

A good installment to the series
Revisado: 03-06-20
The Wager was a good book in its own right, but I thoroughly enjoyed Marburg Mutation much more. The character building I believed was stronger, where we as the listeners got to see more of the main cast in how their minds problem solve, and where their moral lines stand. I enjoyed the overall arc of the story and recommend giving it a listen. Furthermore, Paul McSorley brought the characters to life with his voice and thought he did a wonderful job with differing between each character. I hope for another story and this narrator in the future!

Good book
Revisado: 11-01-19
The writing style Allen Kent presents is a good one which engages the listener into believing the scenario that he’s made come to life could be a real incident. I was engaged through the whole story as it progressed and would say it was a hit. I’m excited for further installments. I also would like to say that Paul McSorley did a wonderful job as the narrator for this story. His deep voice and good pacing makes for a great listening experience. Great job all around!

Historia
When the sheriff is murdered, his son is asked to take his place. Bobby Trent is a semi-retired rodeo cowboy and the son of a highly respected law officer. When his father, the sheriff, is murdered, Trent is asked to fulfill the remaining months of his term in office. Sheriff Bobby Trent; nobody would have guessed it, but it should be an easy enough task; drink a little coffee, maybe lead a parade. Easy work until he is healthy enough to return to the circuit.

Great story. Where does the next book take Bobby?
Revisado: 10-21-19
I want to start off by saying I enjoyed this book, and thought it was a good story. I loved the first book of this series and was really excited to get into this one. The beginning started off great with Bobby in his new role, trying to fill some rather large shoes. He takes problems head on in the manner that you’d expect Bobby to do which would to be expected. Through the beginning and middle of the book I was hooked wanting to hear how the book would end. Once I got to the end I wouldn’t say I’m disappointed in the slightest, just interested in how Bobby took the path he did. Again, without giving anything away I’d say the big choice he made in the end took away his honor, and I’m not sure how much I trust Bobby going forward. But, with that being said I am honestly still excited to hear the next installment in this series. I want to see how his decision affects Bobby, if it will at all. Will it change him in any way? Is it something he will dwell on from here on out? I am excited to find out. Also, I want to say Paul McSorley did another great job with his narration. Hope to hear his voice for the next book in this series.

Historia
“Bad Bobby” Trent, star high school athlete, college scholarship holder, pro-rodeo circuit rider, lived an unencumbered life. He was a man, who, by his own definition, limited his concentration to no more than eight seconds at a time - the time required to ride a bull or saddlebronc and win. He’s tough, independent, shallow, and always looking for a good time. Then his father is murdered. Sheriff Robert Trent, was the longtime chief law enforcement officer of Lodge Pole County Montana. He was stern, fair, honest, and dependable.

Revisado: 10-21-19
Firstly, I’d like to reiterate on wow. This book was a good one. I honesty love all the characters especially bad Bobby Trent. This book was captivating to the very end, which I’d say was well thought out and redeeming. I thoroughly enjoyed this book, and I’d encourage others to give it a listen. Paul McSorley did a great job at encapsulating the life of each character by giving them their voice. He was easy to listen to, had a good pace, and did a great job at distinguishing voices between characters.

Revisado: 10-21-19
The things Kurt Hunter has to go through to complete his job are mind boggling to me. The hoops he jumps through for his boss, and the people he has to put up with makes for a hard day for Kurt. But, nonetheless he does it and gets the job done. Steven Becker has put together another great story in this series and I’m excited to see where else it goes from here. Paul McSorley does a wonderful job in giving life to the character with his voice which I enjoyed hearing throughout the story. Great job to both men!

Another Solid Story
Revisado: 10-21-19
I’d say this is another good book in the story line of Kurt Hunter. It’s amazing to me the situations Kurt gets himself into, but you can’t say the man isn’t good at what he does. Steven Becker can paint a picture when it comes to story telling and this book is proud of that. Paul McSorley is the man who brings these characters to life by giving them a voice, which I think he did wonderfully. Thoroughly enjoyed this book.
