After reading this book I can’t help but want to do a deeper dive into the founding of America and build my knowledge base to better help people understand that the American ideals are worth fighting for.

Decent book. But a couple “flaws”

Mild spoilers warning. Overall a good book but I have a couple problems. Firstly. Even in an apocalyptic scenario I doubt neighbors would be publicly executing one another for petty theft. I can see how someone might shoot someone they catch in the act of thieving. But I doubt they’d hunt them down. Hold a mock trial and then execute them on the spot. Also I don’t recall any mention of dirt bikes and four-wheelers but those are mostly carbureted and I would imagine they’d run fine after an EMP.

I don’t agree with everything in this book but it definitely paints a scary picture of the future.

Uncle Ted said pretty much nothing but true things in this book but never really provided a solution that would work for 99% of people. Nobody wants to live like cavemen but nobody wants to hand all their freedoms away either. Where is the middle ground?

Y’all are missing the point of this book.

As many people have pointed out. This book is full of anecdotes and intangible “advice”. Like duh. Kiyosaki can’t sit beside you and pick out a good investment strategy for each one of you. Nor can he find a good apartment building to buy for each of you. The book isn’t for people who know a lot about investing and are already on the path to financial freedom. It’s to get people introduced to the mindset, thinking about how they can turn the lemons they have into riches. Is the book drastically oversimplifying financial literacy? Yeah. But that’s how you get newbs to become interested. Tell them a little that they probably already know and then tell them about some interesting stuff they probably didn’t know yet but is easy to understand. How many Joe Shmoe’s know about the 1031 or LLCs? Probably not a lot. But almost ALL people who do a little research on investing know this stuff. My point is that this book is for the beginners. If you want to know more about a specific investment strategy then read some books on that strategy.
