Historia
Escaping a horrible marriage, Carolyn Connor has no desire to think about men - a vow she's determined to keep while on vacation in St. Lucia. She'll take the Caribbean sun and sea and plenty of tropical drinks with those cute umbrellas poolside, thank you. She absolutely does not need male company, no matter how tan and rock-hard his body may be. Easy enough, but then Carolyn meets the charming Marguerite Argeneau, who is infamous among her family for her matchmaking prowess.

Narrator is TERRIBLE
Revisado: 11-10-23
I bought this audio book a WHILE ago. I listened for about 20 mins and pronounced the narrator as terrible. It sounds like the narrator/voice for tiktok videos: no inflection, no story telling skills whats so ever, pronunciation all over the place.
After a while listened to it in its entirety - story is good; narrator pretty much ruins it. :/

Historia
Scandal follows Rose Barclay, young widow of the Duke of Southdown, wherever she goes. It's never her fault, but newspapers love to write about the simple girl from Scotland and the much older duke who died suddenly on their honeymoon. And now there is even more talk as the legitimacy of the marriage is being contested by the duke's son and heir.

This seems like a half story….
Revisado: 10-17-23
This seems like there was an idea for a story, and instead of fleshing it out more, a more or less first thought was used. Not that its a bad story - i like the premise! But…. Knowing what this writer can do to weave a fairly robust story… this was severely lacking. Under 5 hours? I wish i would have looked at that before i purchased.

Hard to get into it w the wrong accent
Revisado: 01-22-22
The main male protagonist is English; he was portrayed w/ an Indian accent.
His accent got less through the story but honestly this was SUPER distracting from the storyline. His indian accent seemed to diminish the closer the plot line took them to England.
