An Honest Review
Revisado: 04-09-23
I feel like that this book did present new information that was not or cannot be found online. The letters from Christopher written to Cherlyn are captivating. I must admit that I had to take breaks from it because it is very intense, and the author, herself, shares that during writing this book she also felt overwhelmed with emotion. I'm writing my review to contest the the negative reviews which for a very long time kept me from reading this publication. There was a lot of negative press regarding typos and repetitive excerpts. The author addresses the typos in Christopher's letters. As for repetitive excerpts, nothing was out of place to me. This book had a lot of missing pieces to the puzzle that were not shown on Netflix or within any YouTube search such as Christopher's confession letters and the interrogation between law enforcement and Christopher. This book answered a lot of questions for me. Once I finished reading it, I felt that I could stop searching for my unanswered questions. In that regard, I was satisfied with this book. That just goes to show to sometimes you need to try a book out for yourself and not take the negative reviews for face value.

Hows is This A Best Seller?
Revisado: 04-09-23
I don't know how many examples you really need to understand that concept of Atomic Habits. I feel like the book was presented very well, clear and concise, and the author and narrator (James Clear), was congenial and pleasant. However, in reality, for those who are advanced in taking a high-level macro concept and then breaking it out into micro tasks, then you really didn't need nearly 5.5 hours of repetition. I know I didn't. He kept selling his website, over and over and over and over again. We got it.

Historia
I’ve been in this life for fifty years, been trying to work out its riddle for forty-two, and been keeping diaries of clues to that riddle for the last thirty-five. Notes about successes and failures, joys and sorrows, things that made me marvel, and things that made me laugh out loud. How to be fair. How to have less stress. How to have fun. How to hurt people less. How to get hurt less. How to be a good man. How to have meaning in life. How to be more me. Recently, I worked up the courage to sit down with those diaries.

Must Read
Revisado: 04-09-23
I know my review won't get read in the over 160,000+ reviews, so I'll keep it short and sweet. I don't like any of Matthew's movies and I don't think he's a good actor. Nothing special. But if you're asking me about his autobiography? It's the best book I've listened to to date. Don't care if he used a ghostwriter, but the creative way he used "Bumper Stickers", "Prescribes", "Note to selfs" and, of course, "Greenlights" made my drives to and from work during the last few days the most enjoyable it's ever been. His delivery/narration is superior. The writing is superb. The content is addicting. I loved every minute of it. And the catch is -- you don't need to be a fanboy of Matthew's acting career to appreciate him as a human. I kept waiting for the other shoe to drop, to hate this book, for it to get boring....but it never did: Greenlight.

Historia
Despite its impressive size and population, economic vitality, and drive to upgrade its military, China remains a vulnerable nation surrounded by powerful rivals and potential foes. Understanding China's foreign policy means fully appreciating these geostrategic challenges, which persist even as the country gains increasing influence over its neighbors. Andrew J. Nathan and Andrew Scobell analyze China's security concerns on four fronts: at home, with its immediate neighbors, in surrounding regional systems, and in the world beyond Asia.

Narration was Unbearable
Revisado: 03-27-23
This book came highly recommended to me. The content was invaluable. However, the narration was nails on a chalkboard and I could not get through the book. It had alot of potential for me, but as an audio book listener, the voice for narrator is important if not more important than context. I couldn't finish the book due to the voice. I may need to buy the physical copy, but I don't see myself doing that either with my schedule and other great books on my list.

Historia
Every day we experience the uncertainty, risks, and emotional exposure that define what it means to be vulnerable or to dare greatly. Based on 12 years of pioneering research, Dr. Brené Brown dispels the cultural myth that vulnerability is weakness and argues that it is, in truth, our most accurate measure of courage. Brown explains how vulnerability is both the core of difficult emotions like fear, grief, and disappointment, and the birthplace of love, belonging, joy, empathy, innovation, and creativity.

One Word: HEALING.
Revisado: 04-19-21
I’m glad I came back to audible, and even more glad that the first book I chose was Daring Greatly. I have followed Brene for awhile but have only seen her Ted Talk and YouTube video on empathy. I had no idea what an amazing writer she is. Not only did she give me the facts behind the reasons, she did it with the style that only she could: like a friend you’ve known forever. In this style, you didn’t feel condescended to or ashamed to hear how you were making mistakes in life, because she shared her vulnerabilities, too - first, and upfront. I’m in the arena - and i doubt she will ever read this, but she’s changed my life and I’m so happy for people like her exist in this world. Thank you Brené.

Eye-opening and Thoughtful
Revisado: 11-28-20
Before I read this book, a lot of propaganda against Mr. Snowden portrayed him as an infamous spy. A lot of policies at work were changed and security was ramped up due to his actions and so naturally he was the cause of contempt for many. But after watching the Netflix movie “Snowden” I decided to read more about what he had to say because the movie portrayed him as a whistleblower more than a spy. Now I understand both sides of the story and I’m able to make an educated judgement on how I feel on the subject matter.

Nonsense for Serious Readers

This was pure chaotic nonsense I couldn’t follow. I expected life lessons on leadership and ethics. It was pure looney tunes. Do not recommend at all.
