Historia
"In the summer of 1991 I was a normal kid. I did normal things. I had friends and a mother who loved me. I was just like you. Until the day my life was stolen. For eighteen years I was a prisoner. I was an object for someone to use and abuse. For eighteen years I was not allowed to speak my own name. I became a mother and was forced to be a sister. For eighteen years I survived an impossible situation. On August 26, 2009, I took my name back. My name is Jaycee Lee Dugard. I dont think of myself as a victim. I survived...."

A Stolen Life: A Memoir
Revisado: 02-06-12
Where does A Stolen Life rank among all the audiobooks you’ve listened to so far?
This book is a, hard to read book, not because of how it is written but what is said. This will cut your heart with sorrow that any human can treat another like this man and women treated Jaycee. And the amount of time they kept her captive, I can't remember the exact amount of time but something close to 18 years. What is completely amazing is how well she has adjusted and accepted what had happened to her and how positive she is now living her life. God Bless you and your daughters Jaycee. This book reveals how incompetent our probation system is. It is unbelieveable how many time the probation officers were at the very house she was being held captive, how many times neighbors called and reported that there were children living in the back of the house in some shack and no one found them because they just didn't look.
What was one of the most memorable moments of A Stolen Life?
When two women security guards at a university paid attention when they saw Jaycee and her daughters with the man and woman who were their captors and they listened to there hearts and approached her asking questions and not giving up until Jaycee finally felt safe enough to open up and tell them who she really was. Why didn't all the probation officers who were at the house so many times find her when it would have been so easy to do that? I thank God for those two women.
Did you have an extreme reaction to this book? Did it make you laugh or cry?
My reactions were of anger, frustration, sorrow and disgust, in the end joy that she was finally free to be with her mom again.

Heaven is Real
Revisado: 09-28-08
This book is a book that you could give to someone who is dying or loves someone who is dying. I think it could give deep peace to one who is ill and is terminal and is a Christian. This author has, due to a car accident, clinically died and spent 90 Minutes in heaven before returning to life here on earth. I have approched reading this backward, I really want to read the 1st book about his time in heaven.

Historia
During their eight years in the White House, Bill and Hillary Clinton worked together more closely than the public ever knew. For Love of Politics is the first book to explain the dynamics of their relationship, showing that it is impossible to understand one Clinton without factoring in the other.

For the Love of Politics
Revisado: 11-11-07
I do wish I had read this book in the Unabridged format.
However, after reading this, I know I will not be voting to put Hillary and Bill back into the White House. I really liked Bill Clintion before reading this book. I did not realize just how much of a liar and how corrupt he was while in the White House. He lived in a deliusion of truth he made up to ease his own conscience. And what a wasted use of his obvious intelligence and execellent education. He missed the lesson of how to live a upstanding moral life. Thinking he was somehow above the rules of living a decent honest life. What an awful example to his daughter.
