Historia
On a little-known planet, Archmage Varic Vallenar casts a grand spell to empower himself with the magical abilities of his alternate selves. The ritual works too well, granting Varic not only the magic but also the memories from six lives. Including their gruesome deaths. Now, Varic has power greater than any wizard in galactic history, but he knows that won’t be enough. The enemies he faced in those alternate lives were apocalyptic in scale. Terrors of technology and magic. Nothing that he, or anyone, can defeat.

I got through it, but the book just didn’t captivate me. I’m iffy on magitech systems or anything mixing magic and science, and this wasn’t it for me. Narration also sounds too similar to another book I like.

Civilization brought to life
Revisado: 12-04-23
This is a great series for people that love fantasy, litrpg, Civilization, and innovative problem solving. Charles finds himself in a new world managing a town. Follow him as he builds up his town's infrastructure, makes, deals, survives, and does a lot of backdoor deals. There is lots of civilization and world building, but everything doesn't pop up at once. As you read further in this series, you learn more and more about this new world and its rules.

Historia
Since that free-for-all that saw every Champion hurry to claim as much land as they could, many of the weaker rulers have been eliminated. As a result, the whole land of Liora is now under the control of eight single coalitions. Can they be trusted to keep to themselves and play nice, or should they be treated like threats and dealt with accordingly? That is one of the main questions Charles and his allies intend to answer when they meet up to finalize their own union.

A great continuation of the series. Now with Liora organized under new coalitions, new problems pop up. We see the continuation of plans brought up in previous books as well as some innovative as always use of loopholes to solve problems. Great book!

Bit of a slow burn
Revisado: 12-01-23
I'd categorize this story as a slice of life/business building fantasy novel. Very unique in concept. It's a bit of a slow burn as it focuses a lot on the life elements and the particulars of building the business at the beginning and the challenges therein. Honestly unexpected, but I don't mind for such a new take on this mix of genres and tropes. There are some seeds of a harem that have been planted, but it's not the kind where he meets the girl and suddenly is in bed with them (though that happens once). It focuses a bit more on the complexities of everyone's feelings and managing those relationships, which I love for a dose of reality you don't often see in these kinds of novels.

Author’s favorite word is “susurration”
Revisado: 12-01-23
Overall great story and a fun read for those that love isekais, overpowered MCs, and a great fantasy setting with world conflict. I love the trope of someone overpowered just trying to be “normal” and failing miserably. I’m interested in continuing, though I would dock it half a star for writing with limited vocabulary. Every opportunity the author has, they use the word “susurration,” to describe murmuring, mumbling, whispering, muttering and the like. It’s like a kid learning a new word and only using that to seem fancy. Mix it up.

Do you enjoy chaos...?
Revisado: 11-21-23
Do you enjoy MCs that are absolutely chaotic in nature? MCs that make everyone question the world around them? Question everything they've been taught? Their sense of morality? Life itself? Do you love MCs that are so overpowered, it makes everyone around them question their life decisions while staring in horror and envy? If you do, this it the book for you! The Godking's Legacy is an absolutely hilarious book and a good, light cultivation read that will have you laughing all throughout. The main character is lovable and hilariously ignorant, and the story keeps flying off the rails more and more as you accompany her on her adventure. Definitely recommended!

Exhilarating. Innovative. Heartbreaking.
Revisado: 10-19-23
This continues to be an amazing series. This installment touches base with some of my favorite characters that haven’t been mentioned in a while. We learn more about the world as a whole and the backstory of events. Chapter 23 is one of the most innovative and funny ways I’ve ever read/heard a backstory being told. Now we can finally see all the pieces coming together.

The Questing Stones have come to Nowherested, and Evelia Greene is finally ready to receive her life's quest. Perhaps she'll be a great warrior, or a wealthy merchant, or a brilliant mage. Perhaps her quest is simply to live a quiet life, constantly honing a craft to the heights of perfection. Or perhaps the Questing Stones will grant her the legendary mission of popping over to the next village to pick up a loaf of bread.

Eh
Revisado: 11-10-22
The concept is good, but the execution leaves much to be desired. The characters aren't developed very much, and halfway through the book, it leaves you wondering why anyone, protagonist and villains alike are doing anything in this story other than "they're supposed to." The main character's motivation is pretty flat other than it seems to be the role he wants to take on (or feels he should), and the developments between the other characters don't seem very natural. The sex kind of just happens with little to say for why these women find any interest in the main character. He's not particularly strong or has some amazing status. He's just a slightly above average nice guy who is helping them out...so as I read further, I ask my self more and more "Why is any of this happening?"

Historia
At a glance, the dwarves and gnomes of the Horkensaft Kingdom are two peoples who are worlds apart. The former are seen as hardcore traditionalists hell-bent on maintaining the status quo, while the latter only look ever forward and upward as they grasp at the future with both hands. And yet, these two seemingly opposing cultures serve as a counter-balance to each other, creating a civilization that draws upon the wisdom of the past to face new challenges.

Overproduced…
Revisado: 09-16-22
Great story as always, and I thoroughly enjoyed, but there are too many sound effects that are distracting or downright annoying. The previous books hit a great middle ground where there was just a bit of the extra effects without it taking away from the story. This one had way too much at times. Additionally, in the epilogue, there is a teeth-clenching mosquito noise that is incredibly grating for those of us that can hear it. It lasts throughout almost the entire epilogue and made me want to shut it off right there.
